Summary Introduction
To describe: The origin and importance of main types of brain waves seen in an electroencephalogram.
Introduction: The activity of the neurons in the brain creates an electric field. Electrodes are used to measure the electric field, and it can be done by placing electrodes on the scalp. The cortical areas, as well as nuclei, may either get stimulated or quieted down, and based on this, there is a continuous alteration in the electrical activity. An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a printed recording of the brain’s electrical activity.
