Kinetic energy is a form of mechanical energy possessed by a body in motion. The amount of kinetic energy is determined by the mass and speed of the body. The higher the mass and speed, the higher is the kinetic energy. Even at low speeds, the vehicle with high mass has enough kinetic energy to cause serious injury and damage. The kinetic energy is disposed with the help of brake system in a safe and controlled manner.
