Chapter 12.3, Problem 5LO
Summary Introduction
To identify: The electrical events associated with an abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG).
Introduction: The electrical events occurring in the heart are powerful enough to be detected by the electrodes that are placed on the body surface. A recording of the electrical events occurring in the heart over time is called an electrocardiogram. The normal pattern of the electrical activity which is seen as the electrocardiogram is called sinus rhythm. Every heartbeat generates regular, identifiable patterns such as P wave, QRS complex, and T wave.
