  • Cepheid 1 : luminosity=3.9×1030watts

apparent brightness=9.3×1019watt/m2

  • Cepheid 2 : luminosity=1.2×1030watts

apparent brightness=3.8×1019watt/m2

  • Cepheid 3 : luminosity=2.5×1030watts

apparent brightness=8.7×1019watt/m2

Compute the distance to M100 with data from each of three Cepheids. Do the three distance computations agree? Based on your results, estimate the uncertainty in the distance you have found.
