Transmittance $\left(T\right)$ is defined as the ratio of intensity of light coming after absorption $I$ to the intensity of light entered $I_0$. Absorbance $\left(A\right)$ of light is defined as the amount of light being absorbed and it is negative logarithm of transmittance.
