Concept introduction:

The full form of PFR is Plug-Flow Reactor which consists of a cylindrical pipe and it is used for the gas-phase reactions. It is also known as tubular reactor.

The rate of reaction is influenced by the nature of reactants, the concentration of reactants, temperature and the presence of catalysts in a reaction.  The activation energy (Ea) is the minimum energy that is required to convert the reactants into products.
