Definition of path:

To represent the path of the file, first identify the type of the environment in the operating system:

• If GUI (Graphical User interface) is used, the desired file can be opened directly by double clicking the mouse.
• If it is other than the GUI (Graphical User interface), use the command prompt to specify the location of the file.
• The command prompt should be used in text mode. This command prompt changes the user from current working directory to desired directory.
• To specify the required file in the text mode, specify the path of the file.
• The path is a string or sequences of characters separated by a forward (/) or backward slash (\) that contains the specified location of file or subdirectory.
• The path can be represented in two ways.
