Concept explainers
To determine: To determine the effect of wrongly charged tRNA by tRNA synthetase on the sequence of amino acids in the resulting protein.
Introduction: tRNA or the transfer RNA helps in the addition of new amino acid in the polypeptide chain formed during the process of translation. The enzyme tRNA synthetase catalysis the process of adding an amino acid to the tRNA. tRNA with an amino acid is called a charged tRNA.
To determine: To determine the effect of wrongly charged tRNA by tRNA synthetase on the function of the resulting protein.
Introduction: The polypeptide chain is formed by the process of translation then undergoes modification and gets folded to form a protein. The folding of the polypeptide chain determines the function of the protein.
