Chapter 10, Problem 3AW
Program Plan Intro
The following algorithm is used to opens an output file, writes the numbers from “1” to “100” to it and then closes it.
- Open a file named “number_list.txt” with “w” mode using “open()” method to write a data into the file and assign the object to the “numberfile” variable.
- Define a “for” loop to assign the numbers from “1” to “100” and then write this numbers to the file using “write()” method .
- A “write()” method takes only a single string argument. So, convert the numeric value into string using the method “str()”.
- Close the file using “close()” method.

- File Iteration: Introduction A text file is essentially a sequence of lines. Here is a typical coding pattern for processing each line of a file in turn: Open the file for reading. Use a for loop to iterate over the lines of text, executing a block of one or more statements to process each line. Close the file. Finish processing (print, return, etc.) if needed NOTE: You will need to use this pattern, or some variation of it, to solve the remaining coding problems in this assignment.
