The gravitational force between the Earth and the satellite acts along the line joining their centers. The motion of the satellite is tangential i.e. the perpendicular the gravitational force.
The force and displacement are perpendicular, so their dot product would be zero. Thus, the work done by Earth’s gravity on the orbiting satellite is zero.

There is no work done by Earth’s gravity on the orbiting satellite.
