A pain is an irritating and emotional experience that can be associated either with the actual tissue damage or potential tissue damage. The pain can be described by intensity, location, duration, and quality.
Explanation of Solution
A pain is further divided into acute pain or chronic pain. Acute pain happens suddenly. Example for acute pain is a myocardial infection and appendicitis. Chronic pain lasts for the long time period. It takes time for recurring. Example for chronic pain is cancer, arthritis, peripheral neuropathy, and lower back pain.
The acute pain can be prevented by doing exercise and physical therapy. The chronic pain can be treated with oral therapies such as anti-inflammatory drugs.
