What is Subjective knowledge?
The idea of what knowledge is and how we arrive at the gaining of knowledge is important before we into the specific sub type or the specific category of subjective knowledge. Knowledge defined as the internalization of an idea or concept and it might also be explanation to why something happens, when something happened, what is the cause and effect relation, what is the frequency of particular thing happening and other related aspects which help us to rationalize our understanding of the world around us. It is essentially meaning making process.
Knowledge is the important for self improvement also for coordinating our activities on a day to day basis for one individual to be functional and to realize their maximum capacity and potential. Suppose let us say that you are standing in your bus stop and you got off from your school bus and now making your way to your home . It is the knowledge or the understanding of directions and your address that guide you to your home. Now, since you must be performing this activity on a regular basis therefore it must be easy for you as you have internalized the process. But consider this- suppose you move to a new city and you are not familiar with your neighborhood and it is the first day that you are standing at the said bus stop in a new city and this time you have to make the directions clear to your self if you have taken down your address you proceed using it. The address is a form of knowledge which is objective in nature there is a specific lane and a specified number allotted. This is an example of meaning making and essentially this type of meaning making is what does transpire from knowledge. So, essentially knowledge is a process of internalization of facts and ideas some of these might be objective and universal say like the law of gravity and some of these might differ from person to person and change on a regular basis depending on how your real life experiences shape your meanings of things and events even your opinions on your peer groups etc. is a part of your reserve of knowledge.
