Amnesia or amnestic syndrome is referred to as an inability to hold and keep memories. Individuals with such conditions are aware of their well-being and their own personality but find it very difficult to learn and form new information, facts and experiences. It is generally caused by a trauma or damage to the area of the brain that regulates memory processing or due to any neurological or psychological disorder. There are four different types of amnesia-
1) Anterograde amnesia
2) Retrograde amnesia
3) Infantile amnesia
4) Transient global amnesia
