for example, if someone wants 90% marks in final exam. for that he decides to to study and he works on it. this goal is pretty unclear and poorly defined. in this goal you haven't mentioned how many hours you will study. what will be your plan of study? instead if you decide to get 90% in final exam and set goal like i will study for 6 hrs in a day apart from school and i will take one 15 mins breaks in between 6 hours and i will distribute time and days equally for all the subject this means you have defined proper goal . it is more specific and actionable.
