Question

The question asks you to identify what you think are the three most important problems within the newsletter and to write three sentences about each of those problems:

  1. Clearly identify the problem

  2. Explain why you think the problem is one of the most important to fix

  3. Describe how you would fix the problem you’ve identified

For example, you might suggest that the words used are too difficult for a general audience to understand and simpler language should be used. Or you might note that the layout of the information is confusing and that key points should be presented in a different order. There are many things you might choose to focus on—it’s up to you!

For each of the three key things you think should be edited, write one sentence identifying the problem, one sentence explaining why you think that problem is one of the most important to fix, and one sentence showing or telling how you would fix the problem.

For example, you might write something like this for each of the three problems:

Part 2:

  1. The language used throughout this newsletter is too difficult for a general audience to understand and simpler language should be used. This is important because using language that is too difficult alienates many readers and means your newsletter will not successfully deliver its intended message. For example, replacing the word “utilize” with the word “use” and the word “pecuniary” with “financial” would help make the newsletter more readable.

  2. Etc.

  3. Etc.

*Remember to focus on what you think are the three most important problems. If there is one misplaced comma, for example, is that a major problem? Probably not. But if there are repeated punctuation errors (misplaced commas, misused semi-colons, incorrect use of ellipses, etc.), then you could certainly identify punctuation errors as one of the three most important problems.

*Please also remember to focus on the written aspects of the newsletter’s communication. While design and layout are of course important, our focus is largely on written communication.

Hi there,
Do you know that today, the overall day-to-day stress is much higher than it was in the 1990s?

And there are many reasons why it’s higher... We’re constantly connected to the world...

We’re constantly exposed to pictures of people who are miserable in their life but appear very happy on social media platforms.

But, even though the reasons I mentioned above are nowhere near the biggest stressor in life, they’re very much connected to it.

And the biggest stressor in life is your work.

Think about it.

You’re working at least 5 days a week, 8 hours a day and...

... during that period of time, you’re constantly hit with new projects and tasks that sometimes have very short deadlines that seem impossible to meet.

On top of that, you may have work demands that you’re constantly reminded about them and their deadlines.

It’s very stressful.

It’s so stressful that sometimes, you may push yourself to work overtime just so that you can meet the work demands.

But that’s not all.
There’s the fear of disappointment...

If you don’t meet the work demands, you may feel like you’re not achieving your goals and not getting the results you’re expecting and...

... that’s another stressful situation that adds up to everything I’ve mentioned above. I can go on and on about this but you get the point.
Our work is the biggest stressor in our life.

If you don’t know how to cope with that stress your health will start to suffer. And once your health starts to suffer, everything in your life will start to suffer.

Your family, your wealth, your peace of mind, your physical/mental health, literally everything.

Yearly, in the US alone, more than 120,000 people die as a result of work-related stress.

That’s why knowing how to cope with stress, especially work-related stress is a huge benefit for you and your loved ones.

And if you don’t know how to cope with work-related stress then...
