Question
Rajesh, a Junior System Administrator with the MIS department, clocked in 4 minutes and 27
seconds late for work one morning. Rajesh usually gets the perfect attendance incentive and he
requires it, as his salary alone isn’t sufficient for his living. Rajesh had reached his office on time
however he got held up with his immediate superior while he was buying coffee outside the
office. As a Junior System Administrator, Rajesh has access to and the capability to edit the
company’s attendance records. He figures that since he was unable to punch in only because of
his boss, it wouldn’t hurt to edit the timestamp on his attendance for today.
Do you agree that Rajesh’s action was ok? Give the reasons for your answers ?
