In your initial post, consider what you have read in the assigned Chapter 2 sections of the textbook and identify your own example of improper sampling from your day-to-day life (try not to repeat examples shared by your peers). Be sure to provide the sampling method used, why the sampling method is improper, what type of sampling should have been used, and why.

New York State has approximately 250,000 employees across over 70 state agencies, commissions and boards, ranging in size from approximately 50 to over 5,000 employees. Assume that you wanted to draw a representative sample of 1,000 New York State employees. Describe two ways that you could draw such a sample and briefly describe the advantages and disadvantages of each of these sampling approaches.
