In Python IDLE: how do I use a for loop to return only the ‘a’ from the 2d list in the attached image?

This is for Python version 3.8.5 and please include pseudocode.  Write Python code that uses a loop to prompt the user for five floating point numbers and reports the sum of the floats when the loop ends.
