A healthy conjunctiva is essential for the eye to function effectively because it aids in the creation of a favorable environment for the cornea, which is responsible for focusing the majority of light entering the eye. The lacrimal gland is a tear-shaped bilobed gland whose primary purpose is to secrete the aqueous portion of the tear film and thus keep the ocular surface moist. It is mostly found in the frontal bone's lacrimal fossa, in the front, superotemporal orbit.
