Scenario: I work for a construction company in Tampa. Us in the accounting department have constant deadlines to meet. We usually have meetings on Mondays, with our project managers and coordinators, but with a storm ahead, we sent our accounting reports through a mass email. The head of the accounting department sent the email using the term "soon". For us in accounting, we knew what soon meant. So did most of the PM's. What she really meant, was within the day. One PM (who is fairly new) did not realize and thought that soon meant so unfortunately we missed the deadline. This was because of the vague email, and the assumption that everyone knew the accounting terms.
I need help explaining this using the communication process that is attached.
