Step 1: Concept about chromosomes
DNA is the genetic material in living organisms that remains in chromosome form in eukaryotic cells within the nucleus of the cell. Actually the chromosome shape is observed during the mitotic phase of a cell cycle in which chromatin fibres condense. Chromosomes contain two arms that are p-arm (small) and q-arm (large), depending on the location of the centromere in the chromosome.
