Question

can you please reply back to this ?

I think the most concerning impact in the Northeast would be the threat it imposes to human health. According to the module, “changing climate threatens the health and well-being-being of people in the northeast through more extreme weather, warmer temperatures, degradation of air and water quality, and sea level rises.” As someone who wasn’t so educated on climate change, knowing that it could potentially cause a number of deaths is concerning. While some people may ignore the impacts of sea levels and urban areas for example, climate change impacting one’s health is a direct physical threat that can scare many people. If heat continues to rise, many other things that we need get affected as well such as farmland, and crops. We will also experience side effects that could lead to negative health outcomes. What we breathe in is important, and if air quality continues to worsen, we could be impacted by that too. I think the Midwest may be one region least affected by climate change compared to the Northeast in the US. I only say this because they are heavy on agriculture, and although that can still be affected, the northeast is heavy on urban production. We also have advancements in technology now that can help them be prepared for bad weather conditions and warmer temperatures.

Step 1: Climate Change

Long-term modifications to Earth's typical weather patterns, such as variations in temperature, precipitation, and wind patterns, are referred to as climate change. It frequently alludes to notable changes in these patterns over protracted timeframes, usually tens of thousands to millions of years. Deforestation, greenhouse gas emissions, and other human activities that intensify the greenhouse effect and modify the Earth's natural climate system are the main causes of climate change. Rising worldwide temperatures, an increase in sea level, more extreme weather events, and changes in ecosystems are just a few of the effects that these changes may have on the environment, ecology, and society. In order to lessen the negative effects of climate change, adaptation and mitigation have emerged as major worldwide issues.
