Around 1.7 litres of urine is produced in a day

It has structures called nephrons which are known as the functional units of the kidneys. 

Basically there some stages of the formation of urine;

  • Filtration
  • Reabsorption
  • Secretion
  • Excretion

 As we know that the urine is formed in the kidneys.

After that is passes through the ureters which are the tubes made up of smooth muscles that connects bladder to the kidneys.
