Question
An open cylindrical vessel, 3m high and 1.5m in diameter is filled with water to a depth 2.5m. In its side is a 50mm circular orifice C = 0.60 placed 300mm above the bottom of the vessel. The vessel is rotated about its own axis at 60rpm and the water allowed to escape through the orifice for a period of 3 minutes. Determine the volume (V) of water allowed to escape through the orifice in cubic meters
