As her mother told her the amazing news, she was going to have another baby, Analeigh was shocked. She just knew better than to let her true feelings show, instead a grin appeared on the twelve year old's face as she told her mom how amazing that was and how excited she was to be a big sister. Because that's what's expected of a Remington. As soon as possible she excused herself before running up to her bedroom and shutting the door quicker then she ever had in the past. She turned on some music, loud but not loud enough to lead anyone coming up to her room just to tell her to turn it down but still loud enough so that no one would hear her cry. Analeigh threw herself on her bed before the tears started streaming and sobs started escaping her
“Oh, there you are” her mother would reply Jordan would giggle, then run back out the back door with no shoes on. For a few days Jordan came inside the house limping on one foot, crying to her mother, “Mommy, I got cactus stuck in my foot” her mother would sit there with tweezers, pulling out each spine from the heel of her foot Jordan flinching each time she yanked one out. As soon as her mother was done, she'd look at her mother thankful she could help her, but still a tear still rolled down her face onto the floor from the surging pain now in her foot. Her mother would look at her in the eyes and repeat “You better learn how to wear your shoes” Jordan would nod, then limp off to her room to take a nap. One day, Jordan opened her eyes, she looked out the door and found her mother to be in the yard digging up cactus in the yard. Jordan made sure to put on some shoes and ran outside hiding around the corner of the house. Her mother saw her peeking around the corner of her house and said “Jordan, do you want to come help me?” Jordan smiled disappearing back around the house. She ran around the other side of the house trying to make her mother to jump. Kristina would giggle and say “Get over here you little turd” Jordan would run up to her mother, hug her, then look up at her saying “I love you mom” as her mother looked down

There was a couple named Kiowa and Muraco. They've been together for 8 years. They had a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Her name was Cherokee. Days went by and Kiowa was starting to get sick. Each day it got worse and worse. Her skin was turning red, her eyes were puffy and she constantly coughed and sneezed. Kiowa told Muraco she didn't feel good and she felt like she was going to die soon. On the fourth day, Kiowa died and Muraco was left to raise Cherokee by himself. Muraco knew nothing about raising kids. He was scared. He didn't know what to do so he decided to find help.
“Don’t look down” the wind whispers tenderly as it blows through my golden trusses. Trifling detailed fragments of snow fall from the skies above, meeting the horizon. They are the calmness in this storm. My storm. The jagged icy glaciers, sharp as a knife, smooth as silk, tower overhead. Every breath I take is a battle, every thought is a war and every step is one closer to the end.

They all sat and
Piedad removed the duck and told Deyonnah to, “Finish your snack first.” Deyonnah went back to the snack table and sat down. Deyonnah got up and Ms. Piedad redirected her back to the table to clean up. Deyonnah flopped to the ground, “Bye everybody, bye, bye” she cried. The telephone rang and Ms. Piedad went to answer it. Deyonnah got up and began to climb up the cubby to get the popcorn. Ms. Chantel went to the cubby and removed the popcorn. Deyonnah hit Ms. Chantel and cried, “Why you crying?” Ms. Chantel told her, “Its ok, don’t cry. I’ll give you a napkin.” Ms. Chantel placed the napkin on the table and gave Deyonnah more popcorn. Deyonnah ate a handful then got up, ran to the carpet area and ran in circles around the stool. She then went back to the table and ate a few more pieces of popcorn, then ran back to the stool and ran in circles. Ms. Piedad prompted Deyonnah to go back to the table and helped her throw her stuff away. Deyonnah then grabbed the toys from the table, ran to the cabinet and got the whisper phone then went back to the table and began to eat her classmate’s popcorn. When her classmate returned to the table Deyonnah ran back to the carpet area and ran in
The little girl sat in the hospital bed crying as her doctor left, leaving the door open. She couldn't believe the news, her dreams; ruined. She wouldn't graduate college, she wouldn't get married and have kids, she wouldn't even get to see her little brother do the same thing. Oh, her brother, her little brother is going to be devastated when he hears the news!
She sat on the couch watching PBS and indulging in succulent grapes. Flickering across the screen, was an aardvark and his best friend, a bunny, named Buster; some may recognize this description of the amazing show called Arthur and you are the fortunate who have seen it. She was waiting for him to arrive home just like every other night. Her mom was in the kitchen and the smell of chocolate chip cookies wafted from the open kitchen. Where was he?, she wondered, growing impatient like all eight year olds do. Soon car lights broke the darkness of the night and the dog collar was heard running towards the door. He walked in. Her dad always worked late, but when he was finally home, she ran to the man dressed in business attire and was lifted
A day after eight year old Ashton’s birthday, he finds his father and complains that something just isn’t right. “I don’t feel natural” Ashton told his father. “Why? What do you mean?” “I wish I was born a girl.” as she turns away running into his room, bawling his eyes out. Thomas chases him to his room saying “Hold on little buddy what’s the matter”. Once again the boy still crying intensely says “I’m not a boy! I want to be a girl!” and then buries himself in his pillow. Thomas calls for Julia, and she rushes in “What’s the matter?”. Once again the boy responds with “I want to be a girl! I’m in the wrong body, I hate this body!”. The father worried but for some reason angry rushes out into the hallway. He blames his wife saying “It’s all your fault.” She responds “How is this my fault you’re crazy” He then stresses to his wife “This is because you’ve gotten him all these girly toys growing up”. “You’ve always treated him like he was some princess”. She starts to cry. He continues, “the kid thinks he’s in some other body because of you, you ruined my little man”. She yells “Shut up! Shut up! I have had enough of this! Maybe it’s just a phase.” “You better hope it is” Thomas says. “What?” she confusedly asks “I better hope”. The husband storms out the house, probably going to a bar to drink his problems away. The wife runs to her boy’s room to try to calm him down. She tells him “Don’t worry about your father, if you really believe this, we’ll help you make your change. Only if you feel the same way you feel now when you are twelve.” The boy remembers her words, every day until the day of his twelfth
Susie’s mother opened the door to let Molly, Susie’s babysitter, inside. Ten-month old Susie seemed happy to see Molly. Susie then observed her mother put her jacket on and Susie’s face turned from smiling to sad as she realized that her mother was going out. Molly had sat for Susie many times in the past month, and Susie had never reacted like this before. When Susie’s mother returned home, the sitter told her that Susie had cried until she knew that her mother had left and then they had a nice time playing with toys until she heard her mother’s key in the door. Then Susie began crying once again.
“In order to get to know everyone, I’d like you all to go around the circle and say your name and an interesting fact that no one knows about you.”

She stared for a second and then smirked at his remark. “Oh sweetie, I’m expecting! “Joel looks at his mother with the most confused face. He held the toy in his hand a bit tighter as he was making up suctions in his head on what expecting could mean. “Ma, what do you mean, I’m confused.” He told her. She giggled at his adorable expression. You’re going to have a new brother or sister!” She said while coming in for a hug. Joel’s face
A Story (Not So) Well Written Once they found out the sex, her story was written. The expecting mother and ecstatic father rushed home to the nursery, bright pink pails of paint clinking against little china sets and brand new dolls in the backseat. My little brother came into my room and pounced on me like a cheetah hunting a gazelle to wake me up. I didn’t want to leave my bed and open presents without my dad, so I made them wait till he arrived. He’s not good on time, so he was twenty- minutes late from expected time. I hear a knock at the door, my dad had finally entered. At last, my brother finally stopped nagging at me. It was time to open presents.
"I 'm packing some things for you darling. You are going to stay with Miss Muller. Come here," she said and straightened her light blue cotton dress and walked over and sat down on a wooden bench that was positioned under the window. She patted the seat, "Sit next to me Ester." Once Ester had sat her mother wrapped her arms around her tiny shoulders and gazed into her large blue eyes and begged, "Remember one thing. You are no longer Ester. Your name is Anna, Anna Braun. Say it Anna." Then her mother gazed out of the window into the lovely garden and started to sob.
