Technology advanced very rapidly during WW2 for both sides in the war. “No war was as profoundly affected by science, math, and technology than WWII.” (Dr. David Mindell). It greatly aided the allies the most for their success. New technology contributed to great success in WW2 and has greatly accomplished great feats that we humans have accomplished. We have been able to break records and reach no heights because of technology created during WW2.
The innovation of nuclear power has both scared the world due to its effects if used as a weapon and aided the world for cleaner energy. Over 100 years ago the discovery of x rays has shown us the capability and risk of an atom. The invention of the atomic bomb during the Manhattan project by the Americans was something new and greatly but the USA to

The nuclear weapon greatly turned the tide of war when it caused the surrender of the Japanese empire in WW2 if it was not for the nuclear weapon then who know how long the war would have continued. There is some great controversy over the dropping of Little boy and Fat man, the 2 nuclear bombs were dropped on the city of Hiroshima and Nagasaki which killed a lot of people its estimated to be as high as 246,000 killed . Invention of nuclear power has the ability to be used for electricity purposes which we can thank WW2 for. Nuclear Energy emits less emissions then fossil fuels and it can be useful to solve our over reliance on them and solve our energy crisis. So the innovation of Nuclear power has greatly assisted the world today because of its better electricity uses and has greatly assisted the allies in WW2 by the surrender of Japan it has also put great fear over the world during the Cold war because of its devastating
The men and women who served in the First World War endured some of the most brutal forms of warfare ever known. Millions were sent to fight away from home for months, even years at a time, and underwent a series of terrible physical and emotional experiences. The new technologies available to First World War armies combined with the huge number of men mobilized made the battlefields of 1914-18 horrific, deadly and terrifying places.
As countries seek to avoid alliances that can lead to conflicts, noninterventionism has remained one of the most explored concepts in global politics. Having seen the impacts of the Revolutionary Wars on humanity and being home of people from different ethnic racial groups from Europe, the last 27th presidents of the United States have been adopting foreign policies that promote nationalism and internal growth rather than partnering with global powers. One of the approaches is isolationism, a policy that has always prevented the United States from involving itself in international conflicts. Since his reelection, President Woodrow Wilson has observed this tradition by maintaining neutrality for more than three years during the Panamanian Revolt against Colombia. However, the president should abandon this policy and adopt an approach that will protect humanity from the destructive war in Europe. As this paper seeks to discuss, joining the war offers more benefits to America and humanity than staying in isolation from world politics.
Which weapons were created during WW2 and what was their impact on our society today? WW2 was a very industrious and devastating period in time, in which many weapons and massive bombs were manufactured to help win the war, killing many innocent people in the process. Some of the main innovations include infantry weapons, military vehicles, and a massive nuke called the atomic bomb.
I believe that World War II was a continuation of World War I because of some not resolved issues. Hitler violated the Treaty of Versailles by expanding the military and invading Poland. One of the events that led to the beginning of World War 1 was: Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism; which stands for MAIN. Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia but they then joined up with Russia. After, Germany declared war on Russia which caused the war to expand. World War I ended in 1918 when Germany surrendered. It also had a great impact on European countries after it ended.
In this essay I will be explaining three reasons on how WW2 started. The question I used for this research was; what caused WW2? The reasons that I chose was; 1. How the treaty of Versailles caused WW2, 2. How fascism caused the war and 3. How Hitler caused WW2.
They also helped the war with Japan end. The destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki forced the emperior of Japan to surrender. The Americans have won the war in the Pacific. Atomic bombs are still being used today. Countries all over the world use these weapons to win wars.
Throughout history there has been many conflicts between groups of people that have threatened peace in many nations and regions. One of these conflicts was world war 1 which involved many countries that sided with one another against each other. There were many causes to this conflict that started all the fighting between the nations. Each country has their own view on who's fault it was and if it was handled correctly. This war only caused many casualties and economic problems for countries which could of easily been avoided.
Of course the creation of the nuclear bomb was a watershed event of World War II in which more that 60 million people died. The United States thought that with the creation of the bomb and having such a weapon, they would no longer have to get involved in wars and would have peace. But the creations of the nuclear weapon led to other results. Nuclear power stations were being created that were able to give cheap energy and allowed progress. But, nuclear power stations were also very dangerous. In 1986 in the USSR, there was an accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power station. Due to this accident, a lot of people became sick from the radiation and that radiation was very bad for the environment and everything living around that area. But even due to the dangers, people cannot let go of nuclear energy.
Most of the news and stories are about the soldiers who fought bravely in World War 1, but what about the people back home? What did they do and what impact did they have? These people in the homelands worked hard to support themselves, family, and their soldiers fighting in the war. They changed the workforce and their way of live. These people donated their hard earned money and changed what they eat so that way they could support the soldiers fighting for them. Without them the news and stories from World War 1 would be very different.
During World War II, there was much advancement in technology that led to the destruction of many countries after World War II. New advanced weaponry of World War II or “The Great War” led a lack of new skills that led to many casualties because of the advancement in technology. The most significant weapon that was used and had a huge impact in the World War II was the creation of the atomic bomb. This weapon was so significant because as soon as this weapon was dropped, it would immediately cause great destruction from its explosion. The United States was the first to create and use the atomic bomb. In July 1945, the Manhattan Project, which was the creation of the atomic bomb, was successfully tested the first atomic bomb in New
The Atomic Bomb or known Atom Bomb was created by a scientist, which assembled the first bomb. He and General Leslie Graves officially and successfully tested it in New Mexico, July 21, 1945. Despite this, two refugees from Italy and Germany in the early 1940’s, Enrico Fermi and Leo Szilard were the first to ever produce a controlled chain reaction. The bomb was created to use during WW2 and end it. This was big for America as president Franklin was notified that Germany was working on a similar weapon to use on America and its Allies. This bomb was needed to win the war and it took approximately 160,000 lives as a result while also having many affects on the people then, the people today, and the environment (Henretta, Edwards, & Self, 2012). The US was the first and only country to this day to drop an atomic bomb on another country, not once, but twice. This did end the war; however, the results were quite devastating to Japan. The environment and lives lost were all greatly impacted however, the world as a whole would be impacted for years to come. It also had its political reasoning behind it to show the global power of America. The devastation caused by the bombs also created deterrence from using them in the future at the time. Furthermore, now as other countries have improved technological
B. New discoveries for instance of the rockets added to the power of the WWI.
When a soldier enlists into the military forces they know they are going in to fight for their country and freedom for everyone. They spend months training and preparing for the war and what to come. They learn to fight, shoot, and kill enemies, but what they do not learn is how to cope with the after math of the war. Soldiers in war every year come home with many post traumatic effects from what they had witnessed. During world war two this was known as shell shock; however what can be concluded is that world war two impacted the soldiers emotionally and physiologically from the time they entered to post war.
In August 1945, atomic bombs were dropped on Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki killing 129,000 people . These atomic bombs showed the impact of nuclear power and the dangers of what it could bring, however if harness safely the advantages could bring innovation and cleaner reliable sources of energy. Nuclear energy is emission free energy allowing nuclear power plant to use little fuels and little waste compared to fossil fuel power plants, only a small amount of uranium is used to produce a lot of energy and cost is low. Also, it reduces greenhouse gas emission because no fossil fuels are burnt, no carbon dioxide is released into the air and it is a reliable source of energy since it does not depend on the weather. I think all of these advantages were considered when scientist was to develop nuclear power plants to produce electricity .
Today’s inventions are great some helpful, and many that are harmful to us. Inventions not only stop us from engaging with the world, but also harms us in many ways. One invention that should have never been created are Nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons are explosive devices made to cause mass destruction. Without nuclear weapons, many lives that were taken away could still possibly be here. It can even end the threat of mutually assured destruction such as wars. People also find ways to do much damage enough without them. Nobody can guarantee that the world would be a better place without them, but it could end a lot of things.
