Writing Apprehension Test (WAT)
On this test I scored a 65 out of a 100. This score is very accurate considering that I am pretty nervous when it comes to writing assignments.
Self-Perceived Communication Competence (SPCC)
This survey is designed to gives me a sense of how comfortable I am communicating verbally in a verity of settings. My total score is 80 which is closer to the high average of 87 vs the low of 59. There are also seven categories that make up the total score. Three categories that relate to speaking in a larger setting are public, meeting, and group. For all three of these I scored closer to the high average and not the low. Another three that are somewhat similar are the stranger, acquaintance, and friend categories. In these cases I scored the best at talking to a stranger, in-between when talking with an acquaintance, and the

Perspective Taking Scale (PTS)
This is a scale to see how well I think I can take perspective in different situations. On this test I scored a 23 which is quiet close to a higher score of 25 vs a low of 15.
Communication Competence Scale (CCS)
This is designed to help me gauge five different types of cognitive thought toward communication. In the planning and reflection cognitions I scored a 12 and 15 out of 25. The other three are presence, consequence, and modeling in which I scored a 13, 15, and 16 out of a total of 20.
2. Identify areas of comfort and/or competency you already have. Then, discuss how you plan to grow in those areas across this semester.
The two areas I am most comfortable in are public speaking and taking perspective in different situations. I plan to grow public speaking by continuing to attend toastmaster this semester. Taking perspective is harder to grow, but I plan to do so by continuing to challenge what I believe from different
Communication apprehension has played a huge role on my life. Growing up I thought I was a social butterfly, not worrying about what people thought about me or how they viewed me. I had some great friends growing up that were always supportive of me. We would hang out all the time and meet new people and just have fun. It wasn’t until I was a little bit older that I learned of the fear of public speaking.
I think my grade was pretty reasonable, because there were a few silly and critical errors I made when writing my paper. One of those silly mistakes was not using the website Paper Rater to check my grammar. I typed too fast and didn’t do a good job finding or inserting correct words. Another error I made was not making sure my sentence flowed smoothly in the same tense. Some of my sentences were very vague in my writing. As a result of this; next time I’ll try to improve my word choice and never use the word Things.
The writing score I received on my ACT score doesn't properly reflect my abilities as a writer. On past ACT exams I have scored higher, so I know I am capable of doing better. I was trying to add a lot of information to my essay, but ran out of time to write a conclusion. That is most likely why I didn't score as well on the writing section of this test as the first one I took.
From the Communicative Competence Scale given, I have learned how much comfortable I am communicating with those in my surroundings. I have been communicating with various groups of people due to the experience from my job as I am a current Lot Associate at the Home Depot as my job consists of helping and communicating with customers if any assistance that they need for them to make their trip easier. Before, I use to have my arms or legs shaking whenever I have to present or when I am around others who I am not acquainted to, but I was gradually able to feel more relax as I present myself toward others no matter what environment I am in.
On the English section, I received a score of a twenty-nine. By scoring above the benchmark of an eighteen, I successfully demonstrated the skills needed for college English classes. For essay writing and organization,

Having a strong interpersonal communication competence is a very valuable asset to have when interacting in one’s everyday life. Without a strong competence, one would expect to have trouble adapting to others, managing conversations, being involved in conversations, being empathetic towards others, being effective when conversing, and even being appropriate during interpersonal communication; therefore, as previously stated, it is a necessity to have strong interpersonal communication competence skills. I would say that my competence in interpersonal communication is very strong as I am able to be conversationally involved and appropriate. Overall, I am a great communicator; however, I could use improvement in my effectiveness, adaptability,
Attached is a copy of an overall average evaluation about how the CLC staff felt about the What's Your Communication Style class. So far we had a total of 39 attendees, our goal is to have 100% attendance. There will be two more sessions on July 31, so we are hoping that the remaining staff can attend.
I would have to become more balanced when it comes to my limitations in order to become a better leader and enforcer for my potential careers because my limitations have the ability to become my strengths. My greatest strength is being able to relate to people is helpful within human resources because I will be talking to plenty of people. I feel that the career I want to pursue would help me improve on communicating and everything else of the like.
From the start of the semester in initiating interacting I got a 2.5 out of a 5 because I am a shy person that doesn’t like to talk a lot. When it comes to interacting with others I like to keep it to a minimum. I don’t like to depend on other and I like to keep things to myself. However, over the semester this have changed, on the second survey I got a 3.25 out of a 5 so I believe that I am improving when it comes to initiating interactions with other. When we talk about disclosing information to other I feel like this another of my weaknesses. It wasn’t the weakest in the first survey with a 2.6, but it was my weakest for the second survey with a 2.8. When it comes to disclosing information, I know that I am an independent individual, that doesn’t like to relay on other. If something is bothering me I just keep it to myself and don’t like involving others in my
Teaching the lesson snap shot was not as easy as I though it will be. The planning getting all the materials ready was not an easy task. The part of the lesson I chose to do was the hook. My overall goal was to create a worksheet that will engage the students’ and help them gain a deeper of the double plus one strategy. As stated on the grading rubric I did not choose the proper activity that will engage first graders. The vocabulary used in the word problem might have confused some of the students’. I should have kept in mind the interest of the students and the grade level. I think that I did interact with the students’ I went by every table asking them if they needed any help and how they had answered the questions. The CUBES strategy I
