For many years animals have been unwillingly held in captivity. Although it might be for there best interest. Some can not survive the wild because of illness that is so far on that they can not live without human help. Or they have lost their parents before they could teach them what they need to know about the wild. A few are taken from the wild and put in captivity. Animals in captivity do see many changes though. Animals tend to see mental changes, become needy for human help, and after being in captivity they can not be put back in the wild. Animals in captivity have a mental change and different behavior patterns. They are on a schedule for feeding and everyday life needs. Have you even see a big cat for example a lion or tiger
Captivity against law unsigned documents. Abuse, infliction, and affliction. What are you gonna do about it? For thousands of years, we have used predators to hunt for us and their reward being stuck in cages and prostitution. They come back in free will or in fear. Ever since the beginning of time, we have been trying to control these wild beasts. What happens when they're not there to finish the life cycle? EXTINCTION. We have lost 99% of our animal species, most of this loss is from billions of people keeping animals in captivity.
Also another way to help animal captivity is some zoos keep animals that are injured but that should be the only thing that zoos can keep. Yes, some animals can't go back in the wild but they should stay in captivity but you shouldn't keep fully health animals in captivity because they die faster. Some animals get hurt in the wild but they should only be in captivity. They shouldn't have animals that are just for entertainment in captivity they should be there for a good reason not something like
There are numerous different types of animals in the world. Coming from amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds. All of these animals are born to run free and hunt without relying on a human. Sadly, things aren’t the way it’s supposed to be. There are other animals who are taken away from their home and are locked up in cramped spaces; in other words, the zoo. The zoo may seem like an enjoyable activity for children, but many do not know the half of what goes on behind the glass window. Animals wish they can be free and end the nightmare of being captive. Even though both animals that lie in the wild and animal captivity are one, in the group of animals, there are many differences between them.
For one thing, many animals in captivity are animals that were found sick or injured, and are being nursed back to health. Danielle Pucillo, a previous volunteer at a zoo, states, “the zoo where I volunteered rehabilitated various birds of prey,
The first reason as to why putting animals in captivity is wrong unless it is used to help the animals is because animals can put the trainers and zookeepers in harm. Animals who are sick do not tend to lash out at veterinarians
Scientists, zoologists, and the staff at zoos all agree that by keeping species in captivity, the species is benefiting from it. For some species, captivity is the only reason why their species is surviving. For example, the amount of tigers that are owned by private individuals
Animals in captivity should be allowed because they can get healthy. The first reason they get healthy is there are rehabilitation programs. According to The Current, “Rehabilitation programs take ill or injured animals and nurse them to health so that they may be reintroduced back to the wild” ( Should Animals Be Kept In Captivity n. pag.). Rehabilitators learn to recognize and treat many kinds of medical and surgical problems (Duke et al. 97). Wildlife rehabilitation saves lives and returns many animals
According to the passage “The Impact of Animal Protection” it says “In the wild, animals share territory with other species, and the idea of survival of the fittest is very apparent.” it also mentions that the innate instincts they have to survive can be hurt and sometimes gone if they are kept in captivity for too long. The animals are more likely to be hurt by predators because they forget the their natural ways from when they were wild and untouched by the human kind. Others may say that it’s great for many of the to be in the animals to be in zoos mainly for the entertainment to them when they go to see the animals. However I still feel that it is not necessary for them to be locked away in the captivity of zoos for human needs they have their own needs to you
Freedom is everything to people, and animals alike. But animals in captivity are stripped from this. In SeaWorld and circuses, the animals are living their lives entertaining people and living their lives in cages or small enclosed pens. By keeping animals to remain in captivity people are taking away their freedom, forcing them to be used for entertainment, and not providing animals with the proper care.
Animal captivity has been an ongoing debate for over 60 years. There should be no question about whether animal captivity is wrong. “Hundreds of thousands of wild animals across the world are snatched from natural habitats, forced into captivity and subjected to abuse, both mentally and physically, in the name of entertainment and profit.” (World Animal Protection 1) Places such as the circus use abusive training methods such as, hooks, chains, whips, electric rods, and blunt instruments. (Born Free USA 1) Animals deserve to live freely in the wild. Their freedom is taken away the moment they are put in a cage. When animals are brought into
The topic of the treatment of captive animals in both zoos and aquariums is one of high controversy. It is argued that the capturing and breeding of wildlife, holding them in captivity may present them with unnecessary risks. This however is dependent on the species of animal.
You may be asking yourself why should exotic animals be in captivity and does this benefit them in any way? The short answer yes let me explain for example the Panamanian golden frog have been extinct in the wild since 2007 because of a fungal disease thats been in Panama also with destruction of its natural habitat. This frog would not of lived if it wasn't for captivity and the Panamanian people would of been devastated they have frog on every from t-shirt to cups this
The zoo is packed with children, running everywhere. They laugh and smile as they watch the animals at the zoo sleep. What these children do not realize is that these animals are dying on the inside. Animals that live at the zoo are extremely depressed. These animals can suffer severe psychological disorders from being out of their natural environment. But others argue that keeping these animals in captivity will help keep endangered species alive. However, the disadvantages of keeping animals in captivity are becoming more and more serious, and more people are beginning to believe that animals should not be held captive. Animals should not be kept in captivity because of the negative impact it can have
“Animals in captivity are affected by extreme boredom, lack of appropriate exercise, poor quality food and a lack of variety of food, especially in poorly run facilities” (Education Reform, Choo). Imagine you got ripped out of your home and put in a small cage with no interaction with other animals and terrible food. You have no idea what's going on and what's going to happen to you, that's was animal's face everyday in captivity. Animals in captivity are abandoned and not fed the right foods, they do not get treated right and get pulled out of there families just to be put in a small cage. Studies show that animals in captivity have a shorter life span and they are more likely to get depressed when they are taken away from their families.
If we put animals in captive the will not have the chance to pick their own mate. In zoos and a circus they are forced into a relationships. They might not like the mate they are put with. This can cause mine problems with the animals. They can fight and hurt one another. They will not have offspring. If they are the last two of their species and they don’t have offspring they can become extinct. Every time I’ve been to the zoo or the circus to me all of the animals looked sad. Like they wanted to go back to their birthplace. Other people believe that they are “protected from extinction” in the article “The Impact of Animal Protection” paragraph 3 and 8, and people think they are happy being in captive. I still believe that they should be in the wild because if we take them to somewhere different we are hurting other animals.
