Many believe that wearing wrinkles can be a badge of honor and that every single wrinkled was earned. Others fight tooth, nail and go through surgery to try and eliminate them. Sagging skin and wrinkles are just a part of age and gravity. Perhaps somewhere in the middle of these two extremes lies a place for some facial exercises. There will still be some sagging skin and wrinkles, but the face will be better toned and wrinkles will not be as extreme. The only investment is time.

A few minutes in front of the mirror just making all sorts of faces is a great warm up for the day. Turn on an upbeat song and try to make faces that have never been seen before. Open the mouth as wide as possible. Scrunch the face and try to make everything small as possible. Swing the jaw from side to side. Facial massage is a form of exercising and increasing the blood circulation to the skin. These simple massage techniques should become part of a daily routine. (Many people add them throughout the day as mini relaxation techniques.)

A little bit of essential oil on the fingertips helps to keep the massage movements flowing. When massaging the movements should all be made to defy gravity so upwards or sideways, never down.

Begin under the eyes and make sweeping motions upwards. Ten times should be good.

Move to the jaw line. Follow from the point of the chin and draw the skin up and back to the ears. Repetition of ten is a good target.

Pinch to the jaw line from the center of the face. This should be like a suction motion.
