1. Be committed to self preservation and create a goal in which you can set for yourself that is achievable over a certain time period.

2. Have a good work ethic that will stand out in the eyes of your Employees and Associates to which they themselves would be attributed to being themselves.

3. Create an uncompromising integral standard that will pervade all aspects of a leader's professional and personal life.

4. Learn to have staying power and being committed to the long term good of the organisation in which you work for, and not merely getting runs on the board for the purpose of your own career and jumping from one Organisation to another.

5. Have a willingness to get outside yourself for the purpose of being there to help others knowing that there would not be anything tangible for yourself.

Having the ability to recognise the difference between setting priorities and actioning them, to be able to be a good leader you should be good at both of them, but it pays particular importance to accomplishing their priorities even when the top tasks are unpleasant or difficult.

8. Never be afraid to take on a new challenge and be willing to push the boundaries of thinking and practice and to take risks, without being irresponsible but willing to embrace the courageous behaviour to accept the consequences of your actions.

9. Create contentment and a passion for the roll of leadership and management and let it fuel the energy and commitment to be the best that you can possibly be, strive to achieve the goals you set out for yourself.

10. Be complacent in the roll of leadership/management and never allow anyone to undermine you or allow them to lead you into a false sense of security by corrupting you into submission through bad dealings or wrongful ideologies, that would jeopardise your position with the organisation that you are associated
