What does school mean to you? Is it about what you learn or what you do? School is getting distracted more and more every year because of the occasions that are being made. The problems with events that have no educational value have a negative impact on Woodlynde. The events such as non-academic field trips, concerts and dodgeball tournaments eliminate the time we could use to learn. They are pointless and not a part of learning for the future. I believe Dr. Fulco and Mr. Shank should replace the non -academic events with actual learning events that teach the students. They can also change the calendar of school. Academics will actually teach the students and prepare them not just for the future, but also what every students wants to achieve.
There is a problem with the events throughout Woodlynde School. They aren’t academic; they don’t teach the students anything.

You can use the given time to learn more in school. It’s good to learn new things, and the more you understand, the more you would feel better about yourself. You wouldn’t say to yourself “I failed” or “I don’t know anything.” You become smarter in classes. No one likes an unintelligent person, they like people who do good in school and stay on top. Being in school more also helps your future. Colleges love to see you high school grades and they are the ones who say if you go into their schools or not. It all depends on your grades and how much you know.
Now, once again for the question, what does school mean to you? Is it about what you learn or what you do? School is becoming more and more clueless every year due to the non-academic events. Woodlynde needs field tips that actually teach students and we need them now! Woodlynde also doesn’t need the any of the activities held here in school. They are not necessary for anything but amusement. Woodlynde needs to think about what its real goal is. Let’s bring the meaning of school back to the
Gardendale High School is located in the quiet suburb of the same name, about 12 miles outside of Birmingham, AL. Founded in 1966, GHS is now part of the Gardendale City School System. Prior to 2016, the school was part of the Jefferson County Board of Education.
Tormented by the dry Texas sun, and the poor soil, the plant life in Eagle Pass High school has no chance. Everywhere you look there is dead grass and dead trees. However, in the middle of a field filled with the dead behemoths of trees, there stood a small struggling sapling.
Do you remember the pep-rallies from sixth grade? Remember how we sixth graders could not wait until seventh grade to sit on the bleachers instead of the gym floor? Back in 2013, Larkspur Middle School got rid of pep-rallies since it was a safety hazard to have too many people in the gym at the same time. Instead, they replaced pep-rallies with spirit parades, so teams parade around the school for about fifteen minutes and basically back up the whole school day. I think the best way to bring school spirit back at Larkspur is to get rid of spirit parades, bring pep-rallies back, and hold them outside.
Being a sophomore at Cypress High School has already taught me much. My first year there I didn't know anyone but I quickly made friends with the friendly students of Cypress High. The teachers at Cypress are super friendly, they create a learning environment an enjoyable place to be. In the beginning of sophomore year AP teachers expose you experience a college environment which helps prepare us to be ready in the future.Being an athlete at Cypress High has taught me many things, some of them being sportsmanship, leadership skills, as well as teamwork. My overall review of Cypress High School is that it's an enjoyable and pleasant place to learn in.
When I attended Oroville High School for my freshman year, there were countless numbers of couples that hungout together, including myself and my ex-boyfriend. There was so much pressure for all of the couples to do things and have sex, especially for our friends that were together, mainly because they were freshman and the peer pressure from all of the upper class men highly effected them. A couple that we hungout with at Oroville High always talked to us about them feeling like they need to and about how they don't know if it's a good idea or not. We always told them to follow their gut and their hearts, do what they feel is right. The main problem was that all of the higher classes always said, "wow dude, you're lame, you're not cool" only
Sometimes, school is competitive. It can become so competitive that students will lie or go so far as to cheat. Some will even kill. Honor Students at Driftwood City High School partake in an Honors English Literature class that ends the year with an exam. The three students who score highest on this test receive a Distinguished Writers Foundation scholarship. This is both a great honor as well as a way to get into the nation's most prestigious colleges and universities. As this is such a serious event, cheating consequences are severe. The first offence results in a failing grade regarding that assignment. Also, the student in question receives a one day suspension from school. If the student decides to cheat a second time, the consequence

Wonder what it is like at Stafford Middle School? We have great physical and human geographic features. To begin with, we have clean floors that are mopped by the janitors and tables that are wiped down, also by the janitors everyday. We also have a clean football field that is made of turf, which makes it look nicer and cleaner. We have a safe school that is made of bricks, which protects us from storms and tornadoes.
Central High School, formally known as Dunbar High School, was a very successful school established in 1947 by the Mobile Board of School commissioners. This new school served as an inner city high school to give blacks an opportunity to better themselves as well as their community. Being a wildcat during this time not only implied that you went to Central High, but that you were an individual looking to accomplish your goals to become a better version of yourself. Dr. Benjamin F. Baker, Jonathan T. Gains, and all of their staff took pride in the school, and looked to obtain mentor style relationships with all of the students.
Students at Wilson High School, Governor Mifflin, Twin Valley, and Reading High School on Tuesday the 4th of October were horrified to learn that their schools had been threatened online. The Instagram account “gigglez_is.real” warned students at these schools that three clowns would show up at 12:30 on October the 5th in each school to murder or seriously injure students and teachers.
Conroe High School has many rules. Many are silly and some are actually very important. The one rule I think is silly is being able to get tardies after lunch and it should be changed because some of the Conroe High students eat their lunch in a different room or even a different part of the school, and also the tardies that are possible to get after lunch you can't necessarily get rid of even if it’s because lunch took too long.
Public school students are being put under outrageous amounts of pressure to do well on their tests and quizzes. As an A-average high school student at Pottsgrove High School, I know what it is like to waste 3-4 hours memorizing meaningless material so I can regurgitate and write on a quiz or test. Pennsylvania puts so much emphasize on learning but instead of teaching us meaningful lessons, we are taught the strategies of taking quizzes and tests. This is not promoting students to their full potential, but simply rewiring our adolescents to simply memorize and throw away.
Hi! I am Grace Cappellini and I am 17 years olds. I attend Northview High School in Sylvania Ohio. It’s only about 5 minutes from the Ohio/Michigan border. I like to stay busy and be involved in a lot of different activities in and outside of school. In school I focus most of my energy and creativity towards student council and class government where as next year I plan to be student body president. I am also in leadership academy, world language club and spanish honors society. I am taking AP spanish 5 next year where I hope to be 1 step closer to being fluent in spanish. Along with that I am in science olympiad which allows me to compete against people from all over the country in different areas of science. Aside from things I am involved in
Many schools structure their day better; our school should follow their example. I think that the first change to the day would be the amount of time spent at school. We should have a later start because kids will be well rested and more capable to learn easier. Another change would be a shorter day. We should have this because after long periods of time sitting still, kids get restless. Our school also needs better class options. For example, students should be able to play different instruments like the guitar during school hours. Another thing is that only core classes should be mandatory. Some kids do not enjoy drawing or painting so they shouldn't have to. Teachers are also too strict with passing periods. Our school should change passing period to be longer because people need to do stuff like go to the bathroom. Kids also need to have a little social break so they can let their
Different people have different opinions how they feel towards their school. Some say it’s boring and some say its not. This article states that there are numerous amounts of ways in order to improve education. For example, students need to have access to different types of resources so they can experience different ways of learning, like using the dictionary or presenting a PowerPoint. School administrations should realize that having group projects are a requirement because it gives the student an opportunity to communicate with others, and ideas can be developed further from the initial point. Also, school should be about willing to learn and becoming educated and not about getting good grades or passing a course, it should be in a way
