N.I.V.Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you. I believe that all of wilmington’s students should be treated equally. To begin, every student should have the same treatment. Next, nobody should be treated differently simply because they are different. Lastly, everybody should always be treated with the same respect. You should always treat people the way you want to be treated. To begin, teachers should not have favorites. Secondly, no one should be able to be a bully and get away with it. Lastly the teachers should always check to make sure all of the class is there. To start, you should all be treated with equality. Just because you don’t wear the cutest clothes doesn't mean you are not good enough. Just because
She told me about her classroom rules which are mutual respect, attentive listening and appreciations no put downs. She spent the first three weeks of school going over these three rules and afterwards she had each student write their name on colored paper which is their contract, their signature on that paper means they will follow those rules throughout the year. She has another rule in her classroom called “Kelso’s Choices”. Kelso’s Choices are nine different choices they can make on how to solve their problems in class. When the students come to an issue they have to choose two of the choices on the poster before going to the teacher. Some of the choices on there include, walking away, talking it out, apologizing, telling them to stop, etc. I really liked the idea of Kelso’s Choices because it teaches them problem solving as well as social skills. Instead of being unfair or going to the teacher they have the opportunity to solve the issues and be fair towards each other.
It is important for a teacher to challenge disruptive behaviour immediately and consistently. I feel by trying to make lessons enjoyable and providing work that helps students to achieve minimizes disruptive behaviour. The use of good communication by the teacher can also be a useful tool. This includes the use of the voice, phrasing, eye contact and body language. For example, using an assertive tone when making a request or physically positioning yourself near disruptive students.
8. One or more highly disruptive student :Find out the real reason for such indiscipline & disruption & try to sort that out. eg. if the child is a 'genius', and so causes disruption because of bordom and is way ahead of the class, then provide him/her with work/activity on the side, suited to his/her
Any girl that has ever attended public school knows about the struggle of a dress code. On those hot days as the school year approaches, girls pour over their closets trying to find an outfit they won’t get called out for or sweat to death in. All their dresses are too revealing, their shorts too short, and their shirts reveal way too much shoulder—or so the schools say. Girls have been attacked time and time again with dress codes. Policies are almost always directed strictly towards girls; some even specify for girls only. These dress codes are not only sexist towards women, but they limit female’s freedom of expression and their choice to feel comfortable, and they do not teach female’s to have self confidence.
Over the year’s society has developed tremendously; especially when it comes to gender equality. There was once a time where women were not allowed to vote or even leave the house because they were viewed as the people whose job was to stay home to cook, clean, and take care of the kids. It is 2017 now and we’ve come a long way at fighting for our rights. Although we have come a long way, there are still issues we face in society. We are constantly struggling to break these standards that women should look a certain way to be considered beautiful. Along with this there are still many things that in a way state women aren’t as great, strong, or as smart as men. While we’ve succeeded in some aspects to have equal rights, there are many more things
Several students such as Hasanti, Tarisai, Janine, and Tydell have had problems with teachers in class humiliating them and making it difficult to function within the classroom. It has been brought up time and time again that teachers are making students feel uncomfortable by disregarding their questions in the classroom; the school constantly tries to defuse the situation by
Looking at the situation around the world, many people are being discriminated because of they differed from the rest of the society. Each individual is different, however we all have common qualities that make us humans, therefore each member of the society should be treated with equality as well as dignity.
In this case there is only one teacher and about 30 students. Parents also have to worry about the safety of their child in a public school. Parents have no accountability for their child's actions. Not even voluntarily. Too often a child will get into trouble for something at school with a teacher, get seriously injured, or be getting into a fight with another peer, and the only thing the parents want to know is, "Where the teacher was and what were they doing?"
As stated earlier, the verse taken from Luke 6:31 is a perfect quote to describe the way I treat others. Most people would want to be treated with kindness, respect, and courtesy. I believe that I do this well. By treating people this way, I am in turn treated similarly. This is commonly known as, “The Golden Rule”.
More importantly, creating positive student-teacher relationships can prevent discipline issues from arising. By establishing a persistent tone of mutual respect, students will participate in class activities with confidence that they and their opinions are valued. Students also should be taught how to appreciate the unique contributions each student brings to the class, as well as how to effectively resolve issues that may arise. I believe that demonstrating genuine respect to students and showing interest in their concerns will allow the effective use of instructional time, positive relationships to prevail, and minimal discipline problems to avail.
Students can persuade teachers using liking by being respectful because, they might have not any similarities, nothing in common. If a student interrupts, talks in class,
Sometimes students fight emotional and maybe even physical battles before coming to school and I believe there is a way every teacher can be a beacon of light for students. Through relationships with the students, teachers can compel them to move past what they are dealing with and focus in class. It is through relationships that the classroom atmosphere is established. If the
There are three teachers in the classroom, one does reading/lesson circle with a small group of students, another does arts and crafts, and one of them circulates throughout the room helping students with their work-plans. The teacher that circulates around the room all the time appears to be the head teacher and when a conflict arises she is the one to mediate it. The way that the teachers speak with the children is as if they are equals, they aren’t talked down to and the students give the teachers complete respect.
Teaching is not an easy profession neither an easy job to do. The following conditions are some of the cases that we faced as TP students in the school and how it was solved. The first case that we faced was fighting with classmates, two boys were joking with each other, it turned into a fight and the teacher immediately stopped the students and asked them to stand in the corner at the back of the class and then he talked with them after giving an activity to the other students. The second case was bullying, one of the boys was taking other students' pocket money by forcing them to pay so the teacher talked with the administration and then the school contacted his family and looked after the reasons behind that. The third case was crying,
The teacher is the most visible person in your child’s life at school, but it is the principal who is responsible for providing a high- quality education for all students at the school. The principal is responsible for school success, teaching and learning, hiring and retain excellent teachers. Also the principal has to build a strong school for the community and parents. One strong attribute a principal must know and understand is that they must put the school and student first and if it’s a problem it’s their job to solve it. If a student is having hard time learning then it’s the principal job to figure out if it’s a learning disability, home environment, gang involvement, or attendances. Awesome principals are also creative in their problem-solving and approach challenges with an entrepreneurial attitude. They find ways to implement good ideas, rather than accepting the status quo. One way a principal can make sure a teacher is follow her plans for the sake of the student the principal check teacher’s lesson plan and that way the principal is able to see if the teacher is planning and executing the lesson. And it helps the students, unbeknownst to them, by ensuring that they receive an actual lesson with a beginning, middle and an end that aims to help them learn some specific thing that they didn 't know at the beginning of the lesson. It is the principal job to develop and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities and budgets in a manner
