“Will” is a teenage targeted, coming of age novel written by the well renowned Australian author “Maria Boyd”. The text follows the story of a 17-year-old teenage boy named Will who faces a barrage of problems as a result of his actions. After having been caught pulling down his undergarments in front of a group of Lakeside girls, Will is punished by the schools’ deputy principle, Mr Waverton. The punishment being, confinement to the school musical for 3 whole months, in which Will’s character undergoes a large change. As a result of this, the setting used in “the punishment” slowly matures to be one of the main settings present in the text. Specifically, the musical itself had been portrayed in such a delicate manner, that it created a different context to its original definition, it symbolising the redemption that Will strives to achieve throughout the entirety of the 3-month period.

The character Ellie Weisel in “Night” by Ellie Weisel himself, goes through a change of personality throughout the story. Ellie starts off in the beginning of the story as a strong believer in god, this mindset progresses throughout the story before he realises that God might not be with him after all. Ellie was 12 years old, he was passionate in religion and was motivated to learn Kabbalah. Ellie had a mentor called Moshie, Moshie strongly believed in god until he lost faith when he escaped from Sighet. Moshie was deported and sent to Sighet since he was a Jew, the only hope he had to escape and to survive was to get out of Sighet and warn the others. What is this, a Siamese twin-act?” It would most likely be heavily agreed that when Loretta Lee was first introduced to the book, she wouldn’t be described as a very nice person. However, Loretta Lee has a change of heart behind the scenes. The things she does to help Max and other characters in the book make up for how she treats Freak and Max at the start.

In “In the Time of the Butterflies” by Julia Alvarez, one of the sisters, Mara Teresa, in the first part of the book, is sensitive and naive to Trujillo. Mara Teresa tells her diary about how she feels lucky that Trujillo is their president and how their birthdays are in the same month. “I feel so lucky that we have him as president. We meet Melinda’s parents as hard workers, but never truly at home, whereas normally there’s at least one parent home Melinda only gets notes of what’s in the fridge and when they’ll be home late or none at all. Melinda goes through neglection since middle school when her parents got promotions where her mom became store manager of a downtown store, while her father sells insurance.

Miss Strangeworth decides to put her nose in business that doesn’t involve her, and this allows her to have an interesting character. Miss Strangeworth’s character can be analyzed by considering what she does, what the narrator says about her, and how other characters interact with her.

Bernie helping the economic state of America is important to most voters; he plans to improve the tax system. He will achieve his plan by raising income tax rates for those in upper tax brackets. For example, Lisa Desjardins, in her article, “What does Bernie Sanders believe? Where the Candidate Stands on 10 Issues” (PBS,org, April 30, 2015: 3), discusses that in order to pay for Bernie’s “Medicare for All” plan, he will raise income tax rates for those earning more that $250,000, boosting their rate to 37 percent. The article reports that Sanders would also increase other fees or taxes, including Social Security taxes for higher incomes.
