Willpower, Durability, And Independence

Heroes are leaders who are brave, strong-willed, and bold. Ordinary people can be heroes if they have the perseverance to extraordinary actions. Heroes are people who put others’ needs before their own. These individuals sacrifice themselves for others. They rise up from rock bottom to do ground-breaking actions that no one believed that they could. To many, Joe Rantz is considered a true hero for never giving up when others gave up on him.

Heroes are those who have gone above what the average person would do to ensure the welfare of others. Natural disasters, terrorism, poverty, and war are some of the many things that destroy and end people’s lives. Throughout history, many people have made a difference. However, as history progresses, what we consider to be socially normal changes along with our definition of a hero. In Ancient Greece, Theseus, Perseus, and Hercules were considered heroes, but today only Theseus and Perseus would be considered heros.

Introduction This world is filled with people having a variety of roles in the daily life, while some are heroes who have significant influence over the world. Heroes are always regarded as models full of power, wisdom and strength, people look up to them and waiting for them to guide their way of life. The influence can be long lasting to several generations. But what makes a hero?

Joseph Campbell, American mythologist and religious writer, once said, "A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself." A human being who is brave and represents leadership, is a hero. One who is committed fully and selfless. One who is patient and courageous. One who is fair minded, altruistic, and tenacious. They are all heroes of this world.

A hero is defined as someone who makes and impact for the greater good. All hero’s pursue courage, knowledge and most importantly perseverance. A true hero never fails to let their courage shine through no matter what; it’s what can get them through any hardship. Winston S. Churchill said “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”

When most people think of a hero they think back to comic superheroes or vigilantes from a novel. When most people think of a hero they think of Wonder Woman, Robin Hood, or James Bond. But what constitutes a hero? Is it their courage? Their noble tendencies? Or is it their inhumane characteristics that lead us to label them as a hero? I believe a hero doesn’t have to be a fictitious character from a movie or a book, but can be any man or woman in this world who stand up for the weak, speak up for the silent, and defend the victims of everyday life.

no one charcter trait is all exclusive. As an example courage and more spcifically perserverance requires a goal and a path towards that goal, much liek hope. Recent reasearch suggests that openess to experaince, conscientiousness, resiliance, high self esteen and self-efficiacy play a vital role in determining courage and perserverance (Hannah, Sweeny & Lester, 2007).

When people possess mental strength, they face difficulties straight on in an effective manner to solve the issues. I feel that people who are strong mentally have the valuable characteristics of resilience, willpower and skill. In what way does coaching assist you in developing these characteristics? Let us examine these traits of mental strength and how coaching addresses them.

Throughout our whole lives people have seen heroes as someone who puts themselves before others. However, that’s not my definition of a hero. A hero to me is necessary in modern society because we need someone who demonstrates courage, never giving up, and making a difference.

Resiliency, simply put, is the will to persevere. It is not giving up when things get tough; it is continuing to push forward despite all seen and unforeseen obstacles. I also feel that resiliency, though not as apparent in its connotation, is similar to stubbornness, which has the potential to be a detriment. Being overly headstrong or stubborn might lead one into making blind, rash decisions. In fact, knowing when to give up or not push ahead can sometimes be a strength, as alluded to in the saying “choose your battles wisely”. Knowing what is right for you and your own life and having the strength to leave a situation that is not a good fit takes a lot of courage. Therefore giving up is sometimes the better option.

An ability that one my call more a character trait then any other is the ability to persevere. Most students can relate to tough times, deadlines, families dealing with financial issues; However the ability to persevere is what has sparked this time in my life to apply for college. My family has gone through some very traumatic experiences lately and I feel not only has perseverance pulled us all through together it has brought us closer together. My family usually tells me " There's someone watching over you" as i nod and agree. I quite often feel the same way. My wife is a medical assistant studying to become a nurse, shes continuously pushing me to strive for better. I have always been surrounded by technology since my younger

I believe it is one of the major determinants of resilience. Having personal attributes such as calm, patience and adventurous will facilitate us to become a more resilient person. We will not become panic-stricken and lose control of ourselves when we encounter adversity. Other positive traits such as cheerful and optimistic can also conduce to resiliency. It can help us to find positive meanings in our lives despite adversity. On the contrary, negative traits such as pessimistic, impulsive and emotionally unstable can affect our resiliency and also our well-being.

Heroes are what give people a glimmer of hope and bravery. Without heroes, we would have a very monotonous world. Heroism comes down to being determined to be a leader, putting everyone’s well being before themselves, but not having to be physically strong, instead, strong willed.

Gerard Way, once said, “Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary”(Gerard Way). Many people have the image of a strong man with chiseled features as a hero stuck in their mind. However, it is not the size, appearance, or species of a living thing that form a hero, but the person or animal who leaps out of their comfort zone and changes the world. Whether the change is small like standing up to a bully, or big like starting an organization to give food to the poor, heroes are people who have the courage to keep all of their doubts locked away and start their new journey to change the world. Although fear can overpower a person sometimes, a hero is someone who is not afraid to put oneself out there, takes charge in a difficult situation, and sacrifices something to benefit others.

Everyday Life is a challenge, but when something out of the ordinary occurs, heroes will be the first to stand up and take charge. When in a completely new and dangerous situation, the heroes will be the first to rise and grab a hold of the situation. Heroes are people who demonstrate a high level of leadership while also providing aid to those in need, but not always being able to help everyone.
