Murder is something that cannot be completely defined. A vague definition if murder is an intentional, premeditated killing of a person under unlawful circumstances and not justified by the law. We don’t know what exactly makes murder, murder. As humans, civilized people, we have a set of moral teachings and the most important teaching of all is knowing right from wrong. Murder is put into the wrong and evil category by humans. Not only is murder wrong, but many question why murder is even committed by a human. Is it committed to fulfill a certain rationale, or perhaps just for satisfaction to rid the world of that being? No one can answer these questions beside the perpetrator. All we can do is assume why such a horrible wrong-doing has been committed. In Macbeth and Hamlet by William Shakespeare, both the main characters commit murders. On one hand, Hamlet commits murders to seek revenge and avenge his father’s murder. On the other hand, Macbeth commits murder to fulfill his prophecy to become kind and getting rid of his threats. Murder cannot be justified whether it is committed fro satisfaction and fulfillment or for revenge. Committing murder can and will change your life forever. With this being stated, there are numbers of reasons that drive a person the commit murder. In the real world, murders are committed by aggressive individuals that have personal motives and rationales. These include people that are easily angered and frustrated. They do it to feel a rise in
“Highway to Hell” by ACDC closely relates to the plot in Act I of Macbeth. Leading her husband down a dark path, Lady Macbeth persuades Macbeth to kill King Duncan in order to seize power. Once Macbeth is visited by the witches, and receives the title, Thane of Cawdor, he begins to think of murdering King Duncan. When King Duncan comes to visit his castle “the raven himself is hoarse that croaks the fatal entrance of Duncan under my battlements”soon after he plans to kill the king that very night (I. VI. 38-39). During dinner Macbeth thinks better of his plan and decides not to kill the king, and therefore place himself against heaven. Lady Macbeth notices this and entices him by explaining her plan. After hearing her plan Macbeth decides that he should go for it, “No stop signs, speed limit, Nobody's gonna slow me down,” and kill the king (ACDC). Macbeth fully embraces his wife’s plan to frame the guards for murder; in doing so Macbeth is not only committing regicide, but ruining two innocent men’s lives by framing them for the deed.
Murder has been a part of human nature since the beginning of time, whether it be for survival or in cold blood. Throughout history there have been some cases in which entire groups of people are specifically targeted, this is referred to as genocide. Though the term “Genocide” was not defined until 1944, there has been cases in history where the crime was committed even before we knew what it was. The most known case was the Holocaust, where Adolf Hitler killed Millions of Jewish people because Hitler did not see them as
A tragedy is a story which is centered on a character who does something terrible, and as they realize what they have done, the world around them crumbles. Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, is about how Macbeth and Banquo are met by three witches bearing prophetic greetings. Macbeth is told that he will become king. The rest of the play follows Macbeth into the depths of darkness as he seeks the crown not caring about the consequences. Antigone, by Sophocles, is a Greek tragedy about Antigone and how she tries to follow the will of the gods, even if it means going against the laws of the country. Both of these plays may be tragedies, but I believe that ‘Antigone’ is the more tragic of the two plays, as there is a tragic hero who has a fatal flaw and who repents for their action.
Murder is usually an act one does to another because the person has betrayed them or done something wrong according to them, and murder is what the weak resort to because they can not control what is happening. Taking another person’s life is a very harsh punishment and nobody deserves an end so horrible.
Before we go into detail on why I consider it questionable, we should first examine my analytical thought process when confronting this question firsthand. My first thought and assumption was what is a possible reason for someone to commit murder? I immediately thought hate crime. You simply just hate someone or something for a specific reason. Then I thought to myself this is usually a reoccurring them that inclines others to commit the act of murder.
Murder, with the word by itself it has such power. We have over 150 people getting killed annually because of murders, but why? How is it possible for someone to have the heart to murder someone without any moral guilt? What is their motive? There are people out there who just think murderers are completely insane, but in my opinion there has to be much more for someone to just forget the value of human life. My claim is that there is a deeper understanding in murderers, but there are many people who are completely against that. Yes, I believe there are people who are psychology insane but there are some people who are made into murderers. In reality, we can probably prevent most murders from happening.

Finally, when comparing Hamlet's character to other Shakespearean characters who have been proven to be unstable, their is a distinct difference between them. For example, Macbeth's character has been confirmed to be insane and unstable. When comparing multiple characteristics between these two characters, there are distinct differences between them. There are many ways to kill people, whether intentional or accidental. In Macbeth, Shakespeare showed a couple ways by having Macbeth kill King Duncan with a dagger in Scene II, line V, “I have done the deed. Didst thou hear a noise?” (Act II, Scene II, Line 14) and the others he executed or had murdered by murderers like Macduff’s family, “He has killed me mother. Run away, I pray you!” (Act IV, Scene II, Line 80). Many other ways can be shown in the real world. Such as killing people by poisoning, drowning, suffocation, and assisted suicide. These are typically used by real life people though commonly used by rapist, serial killers, murders, and the mentally insane. Although you can use other ways to murder people, for some it is a matter of pleasure or even just the idea they aren’t personally strong enough to kill
Murder is never the solution to a problem. Some people use murder as an excuse to justify their wrong action. Just because a person “got on their nerves”, “they would bother me or bully me” or because “they were in my way” they decided to take their lives. People have many different views. Most of them agree that murder is not the answer. Murder just brings more pain, hardship and consequences.
Murder as opposed to suicide places the victim in an involuntary position the salient difference in suicide is that the victim is the facilitator of his/her own death and therefore the transaction is a voluntary one. For the suicide there is no question of symmetry or consent. It may be a rational argument to commit suicide in the context of prolonged physical or psychological anguish. It can be a plausible course of action and an effective one for alleviating the problem.
The purpose if this essay is to prove that the theme in the two contrasting literary works of Twilight saga: eclipse by Stephenie Meyer and Macbeth by William Shakespeare are alike. The theme of destruction being inevitable in both literary pieces are the same through the element of symbolism used to connect and foreshadow events in each piece. Although the plot for each novel differs, the twin methods of symbolism they utilize evidently leads to inevitable destruction and deserve further examination. Throughout this essay the specific symbols examined will be blood as a symbol of an impending death due to the real or theoretical blood left on a characters hands from a previous death as well as the transition to a new path in the
At the point when two individuals are in the same circumstance you can accept that their feelings or thoughts would be similar in nature. As it may, every individual has their own diverse characteristics which can be appeared in their emotions and activities to the occasion.
