William Shakespeare was born on (or around the time of) April 23, 1564 and he lived in Stratford Upon- Avon, England. His parents were John Shakespeare and Mary Shakespeare. He lived with 5 siblings, three brothers and two sisters. William was the oldest in his house, he would have been the third oldest if his first two sisters didn’t die as babies. His family would have had 9 people in the same house, but with both of the sister’s deaths he had 7 people within his house.
William’s father worked in offices and eventually made his way up to being mayor, William (as we know{the reason why he is famous}) decided not to follow in this path.
After William left his school (King Edward VI School of Stratford-Upon-Avon), he got married. He married Anne Hathaway, she was 8 years older than William, he was 18 and she was 26. They soon started to create their own family. They had their first child around May

In the time his kids grew up, William had his own career. His career started at an unknown time as an actor. He spent some time “perfecting” his work as an actor, this took place during 1585-1592. It isn’t really known how Shakespeare made a living before his career in theater. His life in theater is what made him famous. In his theater life, he made long poems that would also probably be played in a theater such as the classic “Romeo and Juliet”.
