George Heirens, William’s dad, and William’s mom owned a floral business, but due to the Great Depression, it went out of business. After several failed employments, his father found a job on the police force of Carnegie Steel Company, which he worked his way up to a special investigator. After their floral shop went out of business, William’s mother worked as a fancy pasty maker in a baker and then she went to designing and executing custom made clothes. William has a younger brother, Jere, he is three years younger than William. There is allegation that family history includes insanity, epilepsy, alcoholism and mental defectiveness.
At the age of five, William went to a public school for kindergarten, but then, at the age of six, he went

William again went to Juvenile court and was placed on probation to go to St. Bede’s Academy in Peru, Illinois, per his parents’ request. He spent his sophomore and junior years at St. Bede’s Academy. During his sophomore year, his grades were “A’s” and “B’s,” but his junior year, his grades went from “A” to “F.” Just like in Gibault School for Boys, William was a loner; he did not have any close or confident relationship with anyone. His probation ended at the beginning of his second semester in junior year, January 19, …show more content…
A few days later, William was given “truth serum” illegally, without a warrant or his parents; and was interrogated by the police without any legal counsel. While under the influence of the “truth serum,” William claims “George” made him do the robberies and the “cobra killings.” After searching for “George” and coming up empty handed, the police later figure out that “George” in an alter ego of William. William claims he met “George” when he was thirteen years old. Police claim that, the handwriting on the wall at the crime scene of Frances Brown and the ransom not found at Suzanne’s been are the same; although, handwriting analysts never actually confirmed it was Williams’ handwriting on the wall and note. The Police also state, they found a partial finger print on the ransom note that belonged to William; but after finger prints examiners only found nine comparison points, which is 65% of the population and the law also requires twelve, for a conviction. William also took a polygraph test, in which he passed. Per his lawyers, William accepted a plea deal of three consecutive life terms to avoid the death penalty. Shortly after, William withdrew his confession and claimed he was innocent. He maintained his innocence for the rest of his life. He started to question the evidence the police had and started claiming that the police department was being pressured by the media to
Stephen Mobley, your classic suburban-American boy born and raised into a middle-class loving home. He was never abused or bullied as a child and seemed to live a well-rounded life. However, as Mobley grew older little spurts of violence and malicious behavior began appearing from the darkness. At the age of 25 Stephen Mobley walked into his neighborhood pizza shop and did not return with a pizza, but with a sentence to life in prison on death row, awaiting execution. Mobley shot and killed the manager of the pizza shop in the neck after robbing the cash register and joking that he was interested in filling a vacant management position after the manager was dead. I think Blu Williams’ approach to the label was perfect. As he said sometimes you have to go in swinger harder than them, not every day but there are certain days. The fact that Outkast had never heard the clean version until the artist signing at the store, is just another way of the record label flexing its muscles and trying to push everyone around. He is clearly standing up for his artist and telling the label that he has had enough of them going behind his back. It may seem like he is stepping out of bounds, but this type of approach and go big or go home attitude has what has earned Blu Williams the respect and admiration in the music business.
The town of Blakely, GA sits nestled in southwestern Georgia. A latecomer to the state basically born out of the Revolution, Blakely only added a few thousand people to its population since its founding. Like so many other small-town Americas, it has a main street that probably doesn’t stretch far enough for a jumbo-jet to be able to land. The courthouse watches over with its prominent capitol-like dome, softer architectural features, and distinguishingly southern trees in its front lawn. The 5,000 or so residents already struggle with an average income of about $20,000 annually with almost a third under the poverty line (United States Census Bureau: American Fact Finder, 2010). The people still managed to get by and keep a sense of comradery
In previous meetings between Chen and Shorter, in January and June, Shorter turned down Chen’s request to move to the tax division, citing inadequate audit experience. However, Chen met with Shorter two more times after the June meeting, and he persisted that he be moved to the tax division. Jim is a 26-year-old single white male. A product of a working-class town that has fallen on hard times since factory closings in the 1980s, he never paid much attention to schoolwork, church, or civic activities. Instead, he spent his youth in the company of other disaffected youngsters. When he first began to skip school, smoke cigarettes, and engage in minor shoplifting at age 12, he was one of the youngest members of the informal group, but he was large for his age and won acceptance by proving his courage in several fights with older boys. His involvement in these activities escalated until his lies could no longer conceal the truth from his parents or school officials. He was then placed in a special program at school, but although his attendance improved, the program in question made few academic demands on its students.
In 1929, a new institution named The Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA) was founded. After his European trip, Barr for two years was concentrated in his lectures and writing aiming to share the exciting discoveries of him with his students and followers. The trustees of MoMA, such as Rockefeller and many other important art collector and intellectual agreed on giving the director position of the museum to Alfred Barr. Sachs and Morey played a big part in this decision as they gave good and trustworthy recommendations. Specially Sachs on purposely proposed Barr as a candidate when himself was being interviewed. Making Barr a part of this museum was a beneficial act for itself as there was no other possible candidate you could devote himself to modern art and this museum. As
An incident that comes to mind, is that of my son Ricky. Growing up as an only child was difficult at times, especially when he had no other siblings in the household to assist him in his arguments. When he was in elementary school, he was the award winning debater, thereby, having no competition at his level. At home, he often challenged his parents by arguing a case, for his needs, as if he was in court. At age 8, he asked his dad if he could have a new Play Station video games. Of course, his dad said, go ask your mom (a prearranged solution)? When he approached me with the idea, this author said no, with a counter argument for denial of the purchase. He approached this author 4 time on the subject. Leaving in frustration, determined not to accept "no" as a final solution.
She liked the store, which had a bright, trendy décor and well-groomed, friendly staff. Unfortunately the cutter was 20 minutes, which she used to review a chapter for tomorrow’s human resources course. Some of the other waiting customers were reading magazines provided by the store. Eventually it was time for a shampoo, after which the stylist proposed a slightly different cut. Susan agreed, although she drew the line at the suggestion to lighten her hair color. She sat very still. Watching the process in the mirror and turning her head when requested. She was pleased with the result and complimented the cutter on her work. Including the shampoo, the process lasted about 40 minutes. She tipped the cutter and paid at the reception desk.
