There is so much homework in the world. Why? During the beginning of the 20th century, the mind was viewed as a muscle that could be strengthened through mental exercise. Homework was viewed favorable, because kids could exercise their brains at home. It has been argued that schools should still have homework. Kids should not have homework because parents cannot help much with homework and teachers send out too much homework.
