Resurrection is the action of reviving the deceased. With the ever evolving technology in the fields of robotics and medicine. The possibility of reviving the dead could be successful in the near future. Loved ones, unexpected deaths or even children could be brought back to live their life. Fictional characters such as frankenstein would become a reality. However the idea of reviving the dead is controversial, how would it impact our community? Would this be a branch of prejudice? Is this truly cheating death? One thing for sure is that as of right now there is no scientific breakthrough to fully bringing back the dead. But theories, miraculous stories and different alternatives could possibly be the way we bring back the departed. There are many ways scientist are thinking of how to bring back the dead. A very traditional way of thinking is preserving main organs of …show more content…
An approach towards cloning and genetic mutation as well as the robotics alternative. These are all theories however the main concern is will ressurection ever be possible? If so, how long until its successful? and what pressure or impacts would it put upon our society?
As time goes on our technological breakthroughs are ever increasing. One of the many successes of our world’s rtechnology is the creaction of human robotics, more known as humanoids. With the making of this international phenomenon the idea of replacing the deceased with robot versions of them have occurred. While restoring lifeless bodies are not physically and scientifically possible at present. Building and programming robots to imitate the deceased is possible. Fictional Robots such as WALL-E, Baymax, C-3PO are known for their human-like characteristics, would now be possible to create with our technology. Dr Hiroshi Ishiguro, the founder of human robots was the first person ever to
People, in our society, look at dead bodies as useless, but a dead body can be a hero to others that now is a part of them. It’s a good thing that people do donate their bodies to science. Whether the cadaver is going to be examined to what happens after the corpse has been dead for a period of time or if the scientist are going to use the dead bodies for crucifixion experiments, it’s important these scientists and doctors are educated about death and what happens after death.
god says: even so, is the revival, for, god brings to life the dead, and he shows you his signs, the proofs of his power, so that you might understand, [that you might] reflect and realise that the one capable of reviving a single soul is also capable of reviving a multitude of souls, and then believe}.
Death, resurrection and the afterlife have always been a topic of debate. The resurrection of the body itself has been an even more discussed topic. In NT Wrights youtube video, “Death, Resurrection, and the Afterlife” he discusses this very subject. He says that this question is rarely mentioned in the Old Testament. In the New Testament this topic does arise more often, but does not show a great significance. However, he answers these questions. What is the importance of life after death during the time that Jesus lived? What are the teachings found in the New Testament that relate to the resurrection of Jesus,? Why are the theological teachings of the resurrection necessary and what is the portrayal that they Bible illustrates of a believer's death? Also, how will the resurrection effect the earth and how do the teachings in the Bible about death, resurrection and the afterlife differ from what most Christians believe today. NT Wright begins his video with his explanation of Life After Death.
Cloning has been in research for a very long time. People have constantly been trying to create an individual genetically identical to another individual. This type of cloning is not like putting something in a machine and having two come out the other end. Genetic cloning is just trying to get the genetics of two subjects the same. This is similar to what Frankenstein was doing because he was messing with trying to create the perfect human by taking the strongest and biggest parts of the corpse he dug up. The result was the monster being able to withstand extreme conditions and having incredible strength to harm his family and friends. The people trying to perform the cloning of subjects today could eventually be able to make a human being that is bigger, faster, and stronger than all other human beings. The University of West Texas A&M successfully cloned a calf which means they had two calves with the exact same genetic make-up. It is only a matter of time until they start trying this on volunteer
Question 3: What are the consequences of bringing corpses back to life (both good and bad)?
With technology and science a lot now has improved, like the technique designed to prevent mothers from passing genetic diseases to babies. This could be the first step towards designer babies, Bringing extinct animals back to life, and cloning dogs. However there`s a lot of opinions and arguments about if we should? Or shouldn`t? It still needs a lot of time for the regulators to confirm its safety, as well as a lot of research money, so the question is, will it be worth it? I believe scientist in the US should continue to peruse and develop new technology, as well as making sure the technique of the process is safe especially in the project of making babies free of devastating diseases. In the future we may be able to cure diseases, help
Physical bodies cannot be resurrected by God because they cannot possess the kingdom of God.
While there appears to be many advantages for the continuation of cloning research, there are other drawbacks that may negatively impact the society in the future. Cloning may reduce genetic variability by producing populations that have the same genetic make-up. This population would be susceptible to the same diseases and could potentially be wiped out by a single strain of virus. Such a result could be catastrophic and devastate entire nations. Cloning in human would inevitably lead to testings on human subjects and genetic tailoring of offspring. It is plausible that scientists could alter genetic coding to produce a baby with desirable traits resulting in a ‘perfect human’ with heightened senses and sub-normal intelligence. There have been no occurrences to
The resurrection in the gospel message is very important to any reader/believer. Its very important for many reasons, first off the gospel would be incomplete without the resurrection. If Jesus walked the earth and was the messiah, he was a healer, a sinless man, performed miracles, and taught about the kingdom of God but then died then we would have no hope in the afterlife.
that if X can be without Y then X and Y are distinct. This view that a
As with most other Pauline attributed documents, 1 Corinthians is believed to be a single document that addresses salient topics and rationalizes Paul’s view of faithfulness to Christ with Corinth citizens. The newly founded church of Corinth was in correspondence with Paul requesting his answers to questions they posed on topics ranging from marriage to the resurrection of the dead; the latter being one of the most highlighted in 1 Corinthians. Paul’s assurance of resurrection illustrates a concern for Corinth as he admonishes their disbelief in resurrection of the dead with a series of explanations as to why such doubt would render the faith of Christ “in vain”. Given the context of the time, Paul’s correspondence with Corinth clearly
Robotics can be virtual and/or mechanical objects that we use in everyday activities. Even though robots have been around since 1960’s. In the healthcare field we have become more dependent upon them since the 1980 's. Robots have been used to assist people in varies everyday task in laboratories and operating rooms. Some examples their usage are intervention with giving medication, assisting kids with autism, transferring and lifting patients. Although robots have made some of the healthcare fields task easier there can be questions with such technology which can impact ethical policy and non-human touch.
Some say that people never change. They may be right, but no one really knows. What people do know is that every living person has one thing in common, something that will never change. Everyone will die, there’s no way around it. Every “new” and “old” generation will succumb to the same ghastly fate. The differences in the “old” generation and “new” generation sometimes collide in life. The contrast between generations in James Joyce’s “The Dead” is similar to the contrast in the generations today. The “baby boomer” generation is the old fashioned generation preoccupied with hospitality and tradition, where as, “generation x” is the new generation, preoccupied with knowledge and intellect.
Humanoid robots are designed with the likeness of a human body, with some having a model of a full body or parts of the body from the waist up, capable of performing human tasks.
It is believed that resurrection does not happen all at one time. Instead, it happens many more times as part of a process for mending the world. This is not necessarily the belief of all people in the religion. Like other ideas, there are even differences in beliefs of reincarnation itself. Some say that it would likely happen to anyone on a routine basis and all that you would need to do is live a good life. In other cases, it seems like the beginning of a modern ghost story. It’s believed that reincarnation would only take place if the soul had some sort of unfinished business to attend to. I am not sure what sort of unfinished business that these souls would have. My only idea, would be some sort of closure needed from a living loved one. Another reason that I do not believe in reincarnation is that animals would act very different if they were being possessed by the souls of those that have already passed away. Plants would not be likely recipients of reincarnated souls in my opinion, especially if they are only being reincarnated for unfinished
