So in conclusion, i’m asking don’t think GMOs are terrible for the environment. Realize that they are a great way to reduce pesticide use and do good things for the environment and the world around you. Also the plants ripen earlier and have better yields and that means farmers sell more crop and that crop gets shipped to other places in the world which then helps our economy. That’s exactly why we need GMO crops planted. So we can help the entire world.
The main proponent to use gmos was to increase food production to feed the world's impoverished and to use less pesticides in farming. Gmos have not achieved any of its goals as world hungry still exist and pesticide use continues to be used at the same rate. The heavy use of pesticides is not good for the earth people or other life forms that come into contact with them. They are polluting our water and land and if we continue to use them heavily we will make our land infertile. Just off of these facts I believe the use of gmos should be reduced as we are fighting fire with fire. You can't help feed people of today by poisoning the land and water for the people of tomorrow it is an inefficient and illogical
Some Critics say Gmos are healthy. Gmos are unhealthy. The AAEM to doctors to prescribe non-Gmo diets for the sufferer. Gmos transfer into the DNA of bacteria living inside of us.
Although GMO’s in my opinion are considered bad, there are some benefits to them. One reason is that they are cheap, and affordable. Ingredients grown using GM technology require fewer pesticides, and less water making them cheap. This is very beneficial to those who may live in certain places, where food is hard to come by. They are able to afford the food, because of the
GMO’s or Genetically Modified Food is one of the most controversial topics that have been studied and debated for over 40 years. Scientists on both sides of the spectrum claim that these modified foods are safe for consumption, but also some argue that these foods are toxic and very harmful to human life. GMO’s are genetically modified organisms that are created and added in a lab experiment where DNA are extracted from one gene and added to another plant or animal. This allows the genes to mix with the DNA to create a desired product. For example, bigger apples, larger oranges, taller animals, and plants that can survive the changing climate. GMOs are different from organic food and products because chemicals and DNA modification is not needed for these natural stuff.
Gmo have been shown to harm the ecosystem,These human-made organisms can reproduce and interbreed with natural organisms, thereby spreading to new environments and future generations in an unpredictable and uncontrollable way.
GMOs are awful for your well being, are very harmful to the environment and the animals that live in the wild, and they are harmful to the future of society. While some may say that GMOs are helping the earth by fixing world hunger this is not true, GMOs are doing more harm than good in our society. Imagine what will happen if we continue to eat these foods without knowing it, they will continue to harm our body and the earth in the future. The real question is, will there be a
Gmos are bad for the environment. Insects are at risk butterflies and bees and countless other bugs are being killed from these crops. Newer more stronger species are going to over run other species and will go extinct. GMOs are polluting are water resources. Animals are showing organ damage and other parts of the body being damaged. Humans are problems like nutritional consequences, unintended effects, and GM
GMOs harm the environment because some of the animals in the wild use the genetically modified food. They would die of starvation or they would get sick because of all the chemicals mixed in with crop or food produced. The people producing the gmo foods would ruin the food chain because the animals would have to adapt to eating other foods or would die of starvation. They can harm the food for birds and other animals. Gmo foods use more chemical pesticides and herbicides. Bees produce honey for us and if the bees were to pollinate gmo flowers they could die because of all the pesticides inside of the flower. Having gmos means less weed flowers or normal flowers in general and by knowing we would have less flowers means less nectar would be
There are roughly sixty countries that require GMO labeling and they do not have the problem that the United States have. Some countries even go as far to ban GMOs and only let some in. They have to go through many processes and tests to examine the effects and quality of the plant and/or product. These countries have lower rates of GMO food purchases and their environment is much cleaner than the United States. Monsanto has always tried its hardest to prevent any law from passing to regulate and label their products. They have spent millions of dollars. They have also threatened to sue the states that have brought up the idea or bill the label. The public has protested and demanded labeling, they believe they have a right to know
The production of GMO’s and or use, is wrong from a Christian perspective. God made everything that humans see today, and god made it beautiful. In the book of Genesis, it describes god’s process of making the world that he gifted to humans to be stewards of. He charged humans with the care of the beautiful garden of Eden. (Holy Bible Genesis 2:15) The Bible also reads “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein.” (Holy Bible Psalm 24:1) The Earth was not the creation of man but of God, although he made it for man to dwell, it still belongs to God. This is very similar to man’s bodies, alike the earth man’s body is not their own but God’s and we are also charged to take care of our own bodies. (Holy
Imagine a farm that produces all sorts of vegetables and fruits. Now imagine a little child about five years old with a food allergy of some sort. She is running out onto that farm wanting to eat a juicy apple but little did she know that this was a farm that produces genetically modified plants. They recently they manipulated all of the apples to have the food she has an allergy to in the apples so that they don't go bad as fast. She is all alone and she sees a perfect apple and she takes a bite and she is having an allergic reaction and she is having a hard time breathing. Her mom comes to find her and sees her struggling to breath on the ground this would be a devastating scenario, So this is why GMO is a No so we can protect people.
While the agricultural world is working hard to make positive influences on more efficient farming, individuals have treated GMO’s as a negative alteration in their produce. Farmers and researchers in the agricultural world claim no harm can be done by them. GMO’s have not yet been proven to be harmful to humans and have, in fac,t had a positive impact on the food industry today.
People have been genetically modifying food for centuries. Humanity has used selective breeding to utilize desired traits in farm animals and crops for so long that they are now different species from their wild variants. However, scientists have been using a new process for giving organisms desired traits called genetic engineering, which is the process of directly transferring genes from one organism to the next. This process can be used between any two living things, no matter how different they are. Some think that this is the future that will make society flourish, while others think that it is a menace that will damage civilization. I believe that GMOs are more beneficial than harmful. GMOs can provide nutrition to those who live in impoverished
GMOs can cross pollinate and their seeds can travel and become intertwined into anyones garden. It is impossible to fully stop and end the use of GMOs now. Self-propagating GMO pollution will outlast and be a problem long after the effects of any global warming problem or nuclear waste damage. The potential impact is beyond comprehension, threatening the health of all future generations to come. GMO contamination has also caused many economic losses for specifically organic and/or non-GMO farmers who now often have to struggle just to keep their crops pure and non-GMO.
So I guess what you can say is that there is both good and off views of GMO’s but the more logical side of the argument is that GMO’s are good and that people hear bad things about GMO’s and that they believe what they heard instead of doing their own research on GMO’s they give it a negative view when really GMO crops are the way agriculture will have to progress in the future to be able to feed the population that the earth will have. And people are going to have to be less narrow minded about something that they will need to survive in the near future. In my final statement I have learned a lot about this subject and know respecting others views is ok but ok to argue your side especially is you have researched your topic a lot.
