As Albert Schweitzer once said, “Constant kindness can accomplish much.” Kindness is important because it increases morale and makes success more attainable. Kindness improves overall morale because affection naturally improves positivity and attitude. For example, France was kind to the thirteen colonies after the Battle of Saratoga in the Revolutionary War, improving our supply and finance levels and in turn, our morale. With the French’s compassion, we had a better attitude towards winning our independence in the war . We eventually won the Revolution in high spirits due to the French’s compassion and benevolence they extended to America in times of battle. Kindness also enables more attainable success by allowing help from others to contribute
While my friend was working on her project inside the studio, I walked in there and distracted her with a gigantic cupcakes. I told her it’s time for a cupcake and she should eat it before she’s getting too serious with the project. After I gave her the cupcake, she handed me back some snakes and water, this proved that the article “Kindness Contagious” by Zaki Jamil is true, I didn’t expect she would give me anything back as a return. Aftering doing this experiment, not only that it proved my hypothesis is true but I also discovered that kindness is really contagious. I felt really good that she appreciated my kindness, even though what she gave me was a snacks and water but it actually made me feels really good that there’s people who is
George Saunders and David Foster Wallace mention the importance of being kind to one another and the steps necessary in graduation speeches. Both writers state that acting in kindness, ultimately leads to new freedoms and creates an enlightened human being.
Kindness is the source of goodness that leads people to true happiness. People help others because it makes them feel good, it changes the life of another person, and it's in people good nature to do so. One good reason people help others is to make them feel good. Like in the story The Scarlet Ibis the brother felt good for helping Doodle. Doodle wasn't able to walk, so that meant that meant that his brother had to take him wherever he wanted to go.
Kindness comes in different forms, that can alter someone's day instantly. In “Enrique's Journey”, he witnesses kindness from several people in his time of ultimate weakness. Kindness in my life may not be that extreme, but it is appreciated. Even though giant acts of kindness aren't as prevalent as
One of the responsibilities that an individual has in a community is to treat others with respect. There are many reasons to why you should treat other people with respect. But one of the most important reasons, according to Sonja Lyubormirsky found on pbs.org is that, “being kind can start a chain reaction of positivity; being kind to others may lead them to be grateful and generous to others, who in turn are grateful and kind to others” (Lyubormirsky, 1). That being said,
Elie Wiesel once said , “When human lives are endangered…….at that moment- become the center of the universe. I agree that religion, race, and political view are important because they can show different points of views in other people, make experiences to different people, and show let a lot of emotions to other people. I agree with what he said for it is something that is very true and did happen. For example, when Adolf Hitler took all the jews many people die because of Hitler he had no choices ,however, all of the other countries knew they had them.
One example of kindness is when the doctor helped Elie with his infected swollen foot. Elie got sent to the hospital by of the gestapo's because he saw his foot that was swollen so he sent Elie to get cured. “The operation lasted an hour. They had not put me to sleep.
Amidst every human attempt at conveying ideas, the novel remains one of the most effective means. Countless styles of writing have been created for this very reason. One such style involves a juxtaposition between plot and other elements, which is utilized in John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath. In it, there are intercalary chapters spaced in between the book's main chapters about the migration of the Joads. They describe the migrant plight objectively and communicate successfully because they give the story a sense of fullness, and strike the reader in a way that makes its themes poignant.
Acts of kindness affect the giver, the receiver, and any onlookers. For example, in the article, “Teaching Kindness” the author states, "This boost in happiness occurs not only in the giver and receiver of kindness, but also in anyone who witnesses it.” This shows that whenever a person gives, their own happiness is boosted. The receiver is happier because they are receiving, and anyone who sees the act of kindness becomes happier too. This happens because kindness is contagious; seeing an act of kindness makes the witness want to be kind as well. Furthermore, in my kindness journal I mentioned how I listened to someone tell me about a rough time they were going through. This effects me and the person because whenever I listened to his problems
What does it mean to be kind you might ask. Being kind is a vital way of bringing meaning to our own lives as well as the lives of others. Being kind allows us to communicate better, be more compassionate, and also be a positive force in people’s lives. A video called Kindness Boomerang by Life Vest Inside, shows the effects of being kind to other people, making it clear that it will all come back to you in the end.
In education there are many times you are faced with hardships and trials that you may never think you can overcome but all it takes is a good attitude. I believe kindness can be shown through your attitude because
Kindness is the act of being friendly or generous to others. We as people can choose to hurt or help people by our actions, but most of us choose to help. When we are kind, we don't take advantage of our power, we want to comfort, encourage and strengthen those around us. In the article, “The Science of Good Deeds” the author states that, kindness is a key ingredient that enhances positivity and helps children feel good about themselves as it increases serotonin levels. My example explains that to have a positive attitude about what you do helps you and others feel good about them selfs. Robert J. Furey once said, “ Those who make compassion an essential part of their lives find the joy of life. Kindness deepens the spirit and produces rewards
I believe in the power of kindness. Have you ever thought that being kind could change at least one person's outlook on the day? Being kind is a simple gesture that could make a huge difference in someone’s life. Kindness is something I believe in because you never know how life is for someone behind closed doors, you don’t know someone’s emotional state, and just being an all-around kind person will make you feel better about yourself.
Does kindness really have a lasting impact on people? Some people do not believe that kindness is easy to show or is really that important at all but it is. People will always remember the person who held the door open for them or the person who helped them pick up their stuff after they dropped it. Kindness is often one of the easiest actions for us to show to one another and it will always be remembered.
I never knew it was possible for my ears to feel as hot as they did in that moment. My heart sped in my tightening chest. My knees pulled together and I wished that a sink hole would open up in Daniel’s desert home and swallow me whole.
