I can recall the loudest noise ever made by one man. It was on September 1, 2007 as I sat next to my dad in his silver Volvo. “The kick is blocked!” the radio exclaims, as I look over to see my father screaming with a smile ear to ear. He was jumping in his seat so wildly that the suspension was lucky not to break. This passion towards the school enhanced my desire to become a part of the Appalachian family. Like my Father, Uncle, and Grandfather, I understand the importance of an education at Appalachian State. That importance is to expand ones mental capabilities as well as to explore ones horizons. This for me means to find new interests and skills that I didn’t know that I had. It also gives me the opportunity to hone the strengths that I already possess. As a student at Appalachian I would like to study business and marketing. I have been a part of a marketing club at my school …show more content…
During my visit of your campus, my tour guide told me about the very large and diverse study abroad program that Appalachian has to offer. I plan to spend at least one semester studying abroad through the Appalachian abroad program. Appalachian appeals to me because of the individual attention I know is available through professors and faculty members. This is very important to me because I like the opportunity to ask questions about assignments. I feel that with this chance it will put me on the right path to succeed in the class room. Doing well at Appalachian and in the growing business program will prepare me for my pursuit of business after graduation.
I see myself succeeding and giving back to the school after graduation and later into my life. I have known many Appalachian State graduates all of them whom are successful and have gained great leadership qualities. I know that I have the ability to make a difference in your business program. I am truly excited to be a future
At the beginning of the last semester at my community college, I had to make a major decision, “Where do I want to go next?” I understand the importance of education that will help reach my professional dream of becoming a Marketing Professional, so I want to choose a distinguished school that can help me reach that dream. After extensive of research, I had decided that I want to go to the University of Maryland. And these are the reasons why I chose to go to the University of Maryland:
I believe If accepted into Appalachian State University I would exude in both academically and both socially. Appalachian provides many appealing aspects to me, prominently their historical academic programs. Now as a 1st Generation, child of Mexican immigrants I was expected to attend a college in the city notorious for large classes and a standard picturebook college. When I first heard of appalachian I was in awe because it was everything I was not told about. The teenager in me had to investigate more, and the more I read about the university the more I fell in love. If I were to be accepted I would permanently reside in their campus, which would put me out of my comfort zone being that I’ve been in Cary my whole life and was born in New
It is extremely important for everyone to give back to their communities and I hope I can inspire others to continue their own dreams of being successful. When I become a family physician, I will be able to help many different people and advise them on how to live a healthy life. As one of Jordan’s valedictorians this year, I know how important school is and have always worked diligently to get to where I am today. I am determined and will always continue to push myself to achieve my goals. I never give up and am able to learn from my failures in order to grow and succeed. I have always loved helping others and know that I will continue striving to provide the best care possible wherever I work. I will continue working tirelessly when I am at CSU Long Beach because I know college will be more challenging than high school, but I will not let that stop me from being successful. I am going to try my best to graduate with honors because I know I have the potential in me to accomplish that goal. Family is extremely important to me and I do hope to someday get married and have a family of my own, but I know that can wait until after I accomplish my career
What drew me the most to Towson is it offers a vast number of great majors that can appeal to a large amount of individuals. Not many schools in Maryland offer Geology programs for undergraduates and are close to home. Personally, I appreciate that some geology classes offer field trips for hands on real world experience which gives me a different insight then lectures can. It will help me become better at my field of study and grow as a student. That is one thing I love about Towson.
Emory offered me something no other school I was accepted to could; it allowed me to study finance and film. Emory also has the perfect location. It is in Atlanta, where many movies are being filmed due to the tax credits in Georgia. This makes getting a job or internship easier. My grandparents and cousins also live in Dunwoody, 25 minutes from campus. This made me feel better about leaving home as I knew there would be people close by if I ever felt homesick. Emory is also the perfect size campus for me. It is large enough to feel like a college not a high school, but small enough to get around campus by just walking. Once here, I discovered you always run into someone you know on campus no matter where you go.
My first experience with the University of Akron was through an Honors Scholarship Friday. When I came to campus for that event as a high-school senior, I went through a series of interviews. These interviews, despite being nerve-wracking, provided me with a first-hand opportunity to interact with and ask questions about the Honors College at the University of Akron. As someone who was very interested in studying business, I had my heart set on Miami University. My mind quickly opened after my exposure to the then University
both UT Arlington and A&M have each own qualities that make people attracted to their universities. A&M is considered a much better university, UT has a lower tuition and factors that will save me a lot of money in comparison to A&M. Also, my career choices also matter, and both A&M and UT Arlington have my desired career but A&M has other options that interest me. After all these factors, my
Piedmont College is a college that I'm interested in because I find it to be a school that is one of the best. Attending Piedmont would allow me to obtain a college diploma which would allow me to find a job that suited my intended degree. Along with the academics that Piedmonts provides its location is another key feature that makes me interested in the school. While at Piedmont College I would be able to have the whole of north Georgia open to my hiking wants and needs, the mountains provide a sense of beauty to the school at can be admired. School room sizes is also another reason that I am interested in Piedmont College is the student to teacher ratio. I believe that due to this size, I would be able to learn more effectively and get to
Even though I've been out of school for sometime, I know as a person I have grown since I was last in High school. I am more comfortable with myself as a person. And I am more driven than i was then. My focus and drive is what makes me able to conquer my goals. The change people go through from high school to college is dramatic, much like the Military. I know from my time in high school through my time in the Military I grew as a man. I developed skills I can take with me through everyday life; responsibility, drive, focus is just to name a few. I look forward to my time at Campbell University and getting back into college. I know that this school will teach me a lot and as a community I can grow from it and attain my goals of becoming a Physician
One important aspect of the school that caught my attention was that the classes are year-long rather than by semester. This would provide me with the benefit of getting to know my professors and forming relationships with them. Coming from a tightly knitted family, getting to know people is important to me. Also, I would become acquainted with the teaching and testing style of the professor which is twice as important to me. Furthermore, the Honors College would essentially grant me with the opportunity of being considered for guaranteed
I'm interested in Elms College because I believe that it would be the perfect place for me to continue my dream of an marketing education that goes beyond teaching me the basics. I've been interested in Marketing as long as I can remember, and have enjoyed learning about it and showing others my fashion style. I can't think of a better place to pursue a major in marketing than Elms. Not only did I get great feedback on how great marketing is at Elms I also find the courses of Marketing fascinating. It is my dream to live close to home and still get a great education on what I want to achieve. I would also have the ability to explore my passion for psychology where Elms offers the best education of it. Elms learning environment lets me know
American University has been my dream since I was little. Most of my family have attended to Washington DC. I am the only one that has cut the rope and went to Boston just to discover something new. It`s my second semester here and am feeling weird and alone and it`s difficult for me to make friends because a little bit shy and even more, difficult being from another country, that doesn't have the same culture as people here, that make me feel very strange. Where I am, is a very small college where they don't have many international students. I want to be in a place where I feel comfortable with the people am around. I think American University is a great option, full of new expectation and have a great campus that I visited last December.
After high school, I plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in Engineering and then, a master’s degree in Business Administration at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Being on the Junior Board of Directors
First of all, my academic interest is “multi-interested”. At Oberlin, I’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore various subjects before deciding on my major. In addition, I’d like to study in a small class size, where true, intimate interactions between instructors and students happen. As one of the most innovative liberal arts
I plan to utilize my past experiences to contribute to Towson University’s campus community in a very positive way. I want to be a leader and be very involved in my school community. I want to get a fresh start in the college and try new things out of my comfort zone. I will set goals for me to achieve. In the past, I have built a great relationship with my teachers, and I will continue that in my college career. I will get to know many of my classmates.
