Why Towson...?
I’ve visited Towson many times whether it be for a college campus tour or to see friends that attend performing their artistry there. No matter the reason I’ve always had a great experience.
What drew me the most to Towson is it offers a vast number of great majors that can appeal to a large amount of individuals. Not many schools in Maryland offer Geology programs for undergraduates and are close to home. Personally, I appreciate that some geology classes offer field trips for hands on real world experience which gives me a different insight then lectures can. It will help me become better at my field of study and grow as a student. That is one thing I love about Towson.
In addition, being a transfer student from
UNC Charlotte has made a significant impact on my undergraduate career because this campus has an abundance of resources, a helpful staff, a diverse atmosphere, and plenty of opportunities for campus involvement. This university has a variety of staff, all of which have been helpful in my college experience. They are excellent about working with students so they can gain the most out of their educational experience. For example, when I have sought out more information on which portion of Spain to go to, so that I may improve my Spanish fluency, my professor was extremely helpful. She sat down with me and explained about what it is like living in Spain, tips for where to go, and what to expect from the different regions. This valuable information
I am helping animals and I am helping dogs. The mentally challenged who give Marc Ching donations are supplying the funds for Dog butchers paid vacations, so how is that helping dogs? Please tell me exactly how Marc Ching has helped stop the Dog Meat trade? He has done nothing, in fact he has killed more dogs than he has saved... FACT! He has no transparency as to where spends the money that he has received in donations. Since the last IRS 990 form on record is for fiscal year 2014 we have no idea how much he is paying these slaughterhouses to temporarily close, in fact he has not even proven to have closed the 10 slaughterhouses down, which was reduced to six and has shown one 1 minute video with a banner inside the slaughterhouse... so tell
The Baltimore alliance consist of black abolitionist William Watkins, Jack Greener, and Hezekiah Grice. They were opponents of the ACS and work in Baltimore with Benjamin Lundy. He was a white abolitionist, who had an antislavery newspaper. In addition, these men had a strong influence on William Lloyd Garrison, who later became the “ most influential American antislavery leader”(169). Furthermore, these abolitionists believed that free people should have immediate freedom, equal civil rights, and that the American Colonization Society was harmful to blacks.
The "Most Dangerous Game" and High Noon have almost the same plot in both stories because in both High Noon and "Most Dangerous Game" both protagonists are being hunted down in some type of way. In "Most Dangerous Game" Rainsford is being hunted down by Zaroff because Zaroff finds hunting a game and he finds it fun but in High Noon Will Kane is being hunted by 4 people for what he did. In High Noon at first Kane was going to run and try to live a happy life with his new wife but instead of doing that he told himself I don't run from a fight, but in "Most Dangerous Game" Rainsford ran from Zaroff but when he was running from Zaroff he set traps along the way. But at the end of both "Most Dangerous Game" and High Noon there was a different outcome Rainsford killed Zaroff and he stayed on the island, but in High Noon Kane killed the 4 men who were hunting him and after that he left town with his wife. Although both "Most Dangerous Game" and High Noon are very similar there are plenty of differences in both of them.
Howard University is known for its intellect, legacy and its people. Another big part of Howard University is the Greek life!
Ever since my sister attended Troy University and told me about all the superior activities Troy has to offer, I have wanted to attend this college. Troy has an outstanding nursing program, and that is the career field I plan on going into prior graduation. I have always wanted to specialize in neonatal nursing with sick babies. Troy also has some awesome sororities at their school I am interested in being a part of. Alpha Gamma Delta is the sorority I am most interested in. They strive to achieve academic excellence and they help out their school as much as they can. Lastly, Troy has a very beautiful, clean, and safe campus. Feeling safe while walking around your college is a very important factor to me.
Although I have struggled through my first semester of college at a place I do not belong, I have been given the opportunity to take the time and figure out what I am looking for in a college. First, Skidmore is a small school. I would able to interact with my teachers and fellow students, rather than sit in a lecture hall with 200 students. I believe smaller class sizes are essential in my success. Another reason why Skidmore is a good match is because of the phenomenal science program and research opportunities offered. I am an aspiring Physician Assistant, and research will boost my resume while applying to Physician Assistant programs. Additionally, sports were a very significant aspect of my high school career. At Skidmore, I could have
I chose NDSU because I feel like I was pretty well acquainted with the campus during my time in high school. Each summer, for FFA, my chapter, along with others from across the state, spent a week here competing in different agricultural competitions. Also, I talked with alumni from this nursing program, and they all said it was set up very well, and also put them on a track to getting a good job afterwards. When I came for a tour earlier this spring, I got to hear a speech from the Dean of nursing, and I just sort of felt like this was the right place. On a side note, I like being here because of the agricultural side of NDSU as well, even if I’m not necessarily going into a field pertaining to it. It seems more like home to me, when the person next to me, going into Vet Tech, rides horse as much as I did.
One thing I needed in my college of choice was that it had to be small because I knew I would be able to focus better. My first choice, Towson University, was a large school and all my friends currently go there, but God, and my perspicacious mother, clearly knew I should not go there because of the countless distractions that would have hindered my success. The small atmosphere of Catawba enabled them to have a family style relationship all around campus. I am used to this family style because it reminded me of my high school. Another reason I chose to enroll at Catawba was because of its six hour distance away from my home known as the DMV, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, area. I have been in that area all my life and living somewhere else for I think would be greatly beneficial to my development as a person and would broaden my perspective. The other aspect of moving away from where you have been all your life is that you have to leave behind all your family and friends and that is one of the hardest parts. However, you will have a newfound appreciation for them that
I choose to attend the University of Florida for the culture of community that exists on the campus. The University of Florida has always been a school that wants its students to succeed, but what is the most interesting aspect is that the students push each other together to achieve their goals. We live in a society where it is a "Man vs Man" world and that only one can succeed. Here at the University of Florida, we challenge those social norms and try to create a pathway that fits for everyone. Here, we just don't have dreams, because as gators, we make those dreams plans and those plans into reality. Being able to accomplish or do something that makes your life fulfilling is what made me want to come to the University of Florida and continue to give back to the place that gave me the chance to improve myself and help others improve too.
Methodist University was one of my top five schools when I started to apply for school. There were three important aspects to why I chose to attend Methodist University. The most important part aspect of going to Methodist was the education part, along side with the men’s lacrosse program and my girlfriend.
I chose Virginia Tech for a few reasons which included The College of Natural Resources and Environment, the Appalachian Mountains, and being known as Hokie. The college of Natural Resources and Environment is nationally ranked and known worldwide for their academics and field studies. Virginia Tech was one of the few colleges in the area that offered Wildlife Conservation as a major and I was set on my major since freshman year of high school. My cousin, Mark Jones, who is the head biologist of the Black Bear population for the East Coast attended Tech and I am striving to follow in his footsteps. I enjoy how the programs is hands on and competitive to all students in the program. I am alongside of students, graduated and not graduated, who
Swarthmore's unique approach to liberal arts is appealing. The small campus size reminds me of exploring my current college campus. Reviews from current students have nearly always reported a close knit community backed by a mutual respect for other's viewpoints. Professors there, from multiple videos I have seen, put in extra work to ensure their students understand the material and are not merely memorizing. One featured a teacher in a room of no more than 6 students, debating. I would love to learn persuasion through debate.
What makes politics so important to the United States? When hearing the word “politics”, the president and first family are generally what comes to mind. Of course the president plays an important role but there are lots of other key factors that contribute to politics. There are three branches of government, each with its own special and specific role. The legislative branch writes and creates laws, the judicial branch judge’s laws and the executive branch enforces these laws. The president belongs to the executive branch and plays several different roles in office.
I also wanted to go to an in-state university, so that I could be close to my family. ASU was the only state school to offer such a program for students like me that are un-sure on which career path they want to take or need guidance pinpointing themselves to a certain area of study. I also feel that ASU being one of the biggest universities in the nation has many more opportunities for their students in contrast to going to a smaller
