In trying to make sense of these issues, I continued to wonder why nobody had ever attempted to reach out to my friends, or me but felt it was their place to tell us how bad we were. These thought followed me through my teens while living with my father, an immigrant from Honduras, who sold cocaine for a living. As the trials of life continued to play out, not only did I continue to question why nobody ever asked me how I was doing, or attempted to reach out to me, but I was also able to see the affects of drugs first

Students do better academically and emotionally when given a choice. Many students excel in the topics they choose. It allows students to pass their classes and enhance their chances of attending a school of their choice. People need to have a choice because it allows them to improve since they enjoy it. It also lets kids get jobs they enjoy.

Their might be a reason to fight but not all the time . You need to know when the right time is . But you might always get in trouble with someone.

I wish I could see “Goofy” again! Goofy was my old best friend about 3 years ago. He and I were like Batman and Super Woman. Goofy was his nickname and we called him goofy simply because of his facial features that resembled those of the cartoon character “Goofy.” His actual name was Robert, but he will always be know as Goofy to me. Goofy was the type of kid who you would look in his eyes and see no type of hope for the future. Goofy and I were raised under the same circumstances but he chose another path to take. Goofy and I were made and molded by the struggle around us but instead of seeing such demising circumstances and choosing to try to make it out, Goofy chose to embrace the struggle as his only path in life. Being poor means you barely have enough money for the luxuries in life; you can only afford the absolute necessities in life. Being middle class means you can afford to splurge here and there on luxuries. Being wealthier means you live a life of opulence, and you are not concerned with money in the slightest. I do not live an extravagant live nor do I live a life devoid of luxuries. Most of my significant events in my life do not have money involved in them. Whenever I have money I carelessly splurge it on things I will never come to use or I treat myself to candy with it. I loathe saving money in such a manner it drives me insane whenever I save more than a couple dollars. I choose Katie Nolan for this section because she is the polar opposite

I gave providing public services a B. The reason why I gave it a B was because the public baths they had helped the rich. Another good reason why I gave it a B was because the Romans needed fresh water to drink and the aqueducts bring water in so they can have something to drink. A bad reason on why I gave it a B was because the entertainment they had was watching gladiators fight and they would watch the death of it too. That’s way to gruesome. My last bad reason on why I gave it a B was because they also watched animals fight and kill each other and I love animals a lot but almost over 5000 animals were killed while people were watching. This benefits the people because they actually had entertainment and they actually had fun while watching.

Have you ever received a grade that did not reflect to how much work you put into the class? This is a struggle for some students. Grades determine if students can pass on to the next grade level and where one student is compared to the class. A student should not be measure how intelligent he or she is because he or she made a bad grade. That student could have multiple reasons why he or she did not do well on the test or in the class. A grade that a student receives may not reflect him or her and should not define him or her as a good or bad student. Also, some students are so worried about getting a good grade they stress out over the test and do not focus on learning the class material.

Around the country young adults are preparing themselves to take the last steps towards graduation and beginning their lives as adults, yet most students would say they felt as though they aren’t ready. .”We ask 18 year old students to make huge decisions based on their careers when a month ago they had to ask to use the bathroom.” (Adam Kotsko, GoodReads). For the most part teachers and students have the best of intentions at school and want to teach and learn as much as they can, but the schools are ran like an old assembly line where everyone is viewed as the same and must perform as good as the rest. Every student is told they are unique. so why are we expected to learn the same way?

They also believe that girls and boys should be educated separately as soon as they begin to develop sexually but schools are very unlikely to do this as this would mean more teachers would be needed to teach therefore increasing the number of rooms needed and text books all costing more. Another problem of a Muslim in a non-Muslim community is lessons at school. Secondary boys should go to the Mosque on a Friday afternoon, which may result in them missing lessons before or after lunch. The main subject that is often hard to teach is religious education.

I am disappointed in myself for my failures. I have failed the course English 1303 because I did not manage my time well and procrastinated. Procrastinating caused me to turn in sloppy work. I also didn’t understand some things that were said in class on how to do an assignment and refused to seek for help. Refusing to seek help caused me to do assignments incorrectly which caused me to receive a failing. I have accepted that it was my full responsibility for failing the course, thinking I could handle more than I really could and pretended to understand more than I actually did.
