I chose to pursue a career in nursing because I give me a sense of accomplishment in life. It happened when I was a little girl. I first encountered my ideal model of life when I saw a nurse devoting her best effort to take care for my grandmother. Since then I started to dream to become a nurse. And I decided to become a nurse. Nursing brings hope for patients and makes them feel better about themselves. It is also teaching, promoting and supporting patients so they are more bravery to face their illness.
I have chosen to become a Registered Nurse because, I like to be challenged, I want situations to be difficult so I can use my skills and knowledge to solve them to the best of my ability. I have the drive and determination to become a nurse and care for others in different situations every day. I want to make a difference in people’s life, and I know being a nurse will help me fulfill this want.
The nursing field has a wide variety of positions. The hard work put into this career is well worth it. I am interested in nursing as a career because nurses get the chance to make a huge difference in someone's life, there is always exciting and challenging tasks in a nurse's life, and of course nurses make excellent money. A nurse can work in many different establishments, such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, etc. Every day nurses make a huge difference in someone's life. Most patients appreciate nurses more than anyone else. As a nurse, you get the opportunity to interact with so many different people.
As a course of life, people are born, raised, and go to school until the time comes where they need to make a decision about their career. In fact, most careers have one common theme among them---Help or give back to community and society. I for one have chosen a career in nursing to help people and give back to my community. Other than the fact that I want to help people, a career in nursing will expand my horizons, give me career opportunities, and job satisfaction.
I chose nursing as my profession because I always have had a desire to serve and educate others and nursing, which has given me an opportunity to do that. Nursing is a rewarding career that gives the greatest opportunity to save lives, comfort, and care for them. The nursing profession tends to run in my family and have inspired me to become a nurse as well. This profession is the most demanding and helpful profession in the world.
I choose nursing as my future career because I enjoy working with others, helping others feel better, and educating people. These three topics are all involved in what nursing is. I believe that nursing is focused on the holistic care of individuals and their families in order to achieve and maintain an optimal level of health, a great quality of life, and comfort. This is done through the promoting healthy living, providing a safe environment, preventing illness, and the caring for the individual and the family.
The institution that I have decided to attend is the University of Central Florida. The main reason why I chose this school was because it will help me save money and I won’t need to travel anywhere to get my degree. Another big reason as to why I chose this school is because they have many great programs that will help me be better prepared when I begin my career such as their Modeling, Stimulation, and Training Epicenter which is used to prepare nursing students with different types of scenarios that they might face while working and also helps them work hands on rather than watching someone else do the job. UCF was also a good choice because their Medical Mission trips could help me and other nursing students travel to other places in the
Almost thirteen years ago, my life changed when my youngest daughter was born with undiagnosed medical problems. The challenge of finding answers consumed my life. My family and I spent a significant amount of time searching for answers in and out of doctor’s offices and hospitals, always by our daughter’s side. Throughout my journey, I was able to learn a lot about the medical profession, including the differences between good and not so good healthcare professionals. We were fortunate to meet a lot of excellent doctor’s, nurses, and support staff, however, we also had our fair share of medical professionals that were not so great. At times our journey was extremely frustrating because we had to depend on medical staff that was uncaring and
"The two most important days in your life are the day you were born, and the day you find out why." -Mark Twain. That has been a favorite quote of mine for as long as I can recollect. Some people spend their entire lives never knowing what it feels like to be able to earn a living while at the same time fulfilling their passion or dreams. However i would be lying if i was to say that i don 't understand why. I am thirty one years of age, and deciding to make a career change and leave the job that provides a security blanket, to pursue the job that provides me with a purpose is exhilarating but nonetheless terrifying. When asked the question "Why do you want to become a nurse?" I could answer the same way that everyone else does by saying what it is I anticipate you want to hear or i can answer with my heart, I choose the latter. While a sizably voluminous part of my zealousness for nursing is centered on helping people, it goes much deeper than that for me. I have always believed that i should pursue a career that i would be proud of. That if a stranger was to ask me what i do for a living, I can answer them with a sense of pride, confidence and self admiration. Nursing would give me that. The path that has lead me up to this point in my life hasn 't always been the the most rewarding but i did what many of us do, settled. Just letting the years pass by, and getting no closer to reaching my goal. For most of my adult life i have been in the restaurant industry working as a
As a first-generation Mexican American, I am a product of two cultures melded into one. Since my parents were raised in Mexico they never finish their education and had to work at a young age to support their family. Growing up, my parents would share stories of their childhood that contrast the life in the United States to Mexico. So, when they were given the opportunity to move to the United States, they took that as a sign to bring a better life for them and their family. Understanding the obstacles my parents had to overcome to raise me in a better environment motivated to pursue an education. I’ve known since I was a teenager that the educational path and career choice I want to pursue is nursing. As a nurse, my goal is to contribute to society and sharing my competence, commitment, and compassion to others whether is my coworkers or patients.
Why do I want to become a Nurse? I have not always known what I wanted to be growing up. I was not very sure of myself, but I have always known that I wanted to help people. People struggle a lot in life and it reassures me that in Nursing you can be able to help them with their struggles. Nursing to me is not just healthcare and give someone treatment and move one with your life, it is about building a relationship with that patient and give them that reassurance that they can trust you with their life.
Nursing with me is not only a career but also is my gratitude to given back to the society. Caring for the people and seeing them become better everyday is the best reward in my career. I want to do nursing cause I want to do something meaningful for my life. As a nurse helping people when they are sick is my happiness, in addition, I can take care my family member in a better way. I am happy, grateful and proud about myself when my patients discharged in good health
In fact, there are several reasons why I chose nursing as my profession. First and foremost is that I want to focus on changing people’s lives (Nurse Journal, 2016). As a nurse, I would study the life's value when I would be seeing individuals struggling to remain alive. Since I am fully aware that each life's breadth is a gift, I would, therefore, understand this lesson further as I would be nursing various patients daily. I greatly respect human life, I possess strong values and I am compassionate for empathy and suffering, factors that have further attracted me to the nursing profession. Second, nursing profession allows continuous learning. As I like learning, I would possess unlimited opportunities for advancing my medical knowledge. As such, I would capable of choosing to work in various departments, train to become a medical assistant and as well enter the nursing management where I would grow and mentor new nurses through sharing my knowledge
I came into the nursing program as a caring person and I love helping others which has always been why I wanted to be a nurse. I never knew how profound that caring could be until finishing the program and learning everything I have learned. I learned that caring in the first semester meant that you had a basic knowledge of how to care for patients such as basic physical exams and just taking the time to talk to them as though they were your family. With each semester I developed deeper levels of caring by making sure that not only I understood their disease or illness that the patient did as well. I cared that they had the knowledge and tools to help control their disease. I cared that they understood the need for new medications or physical
Even though, I went into nursing looking for a quick career, I did develop a nursing philosophy. It is a
One of the reasons too I chose nursing was because I got tired of working hard and not making enough. Honestly speaking, the pay has helped me to become financially independent and stable. Nursing assures me that no matter where I go, I can always find a job. Another reason why I chose nursing as a profession is that nursing offers multiple career paths. There’s a lot of options available for me to grow, learn, and change specialties.
