The jews are having a really hard time. How they have to decide to worship Allah [God] by wearing a kippah or keep their life by not wearing their kippahs. In my opinion i think the jews should keep the kippahs and not to worry about getting hurt. The jews wear a kippah as a reminder that God is always with them. They are getting killed for that. They are not safe if they go out with a kippah on top of their heads. They would get attacked if seen with it. The jewish need to watch their backs for anything suspicious. All they need to worry about not going out with it on at night because they could not see anyone coming to try to hurt them or even kill them. A jew by the name of Zvi Ammar called it the hardest decision he had ever made. To keep

Beginning in the early 1930’s, the Nazi party found ways to hurt Jewish people, economically, emotionally, and physically. Official laws and decrees were made to ensure the economic and legal downfall of Jewish people. Jews were exempted and expelled from their professions and practices, stripped of education, revoked from their citizenship, and much more. Jews were also physically harmed; Nazis brutally and inhumanely attacked and molested Jews of all ages and genders. Being physically and legislatively attacked took a toll on the Jewish people. The emotional trauma and scars would be permanent. Growing up being taught that you are inferior or deserved to be beaten and stoned is horrendous for oneself. The Nazis were purposely abusive to
Jews wear a skull cap, called a kippa, on their head to remind them of God’s presence over them. It is customary for Orthodox Jews to wear their hat all throughout the day, while others only wear it when they enter a synagogue, pray or do a Jewish ritual. However, Jews in France lately are being targeted and attacked because they wear their kippas. For instance, a 15 year-old boy attacked a Jewish teacher with a machete. The teacher survived, but when the boy was arrested and taken in for interrogation, he invoked ISIS. The question is: Should Jews stop wearing their kippas? Zvi Ammar, the head of the Israelite Consistory of Marseille, thinks they should, in order to increase their safety. He believes that if the Jewish refrain from wearing

Since the beginning of the Judaism, the Jewish people have been subject to hardships and discrimination. They have not been allowed to have a stabile place of worship and have also faced persecution and atrocities that most of us can not even imagine. Three events that have had a big impact on the Jewish faith were the building and destruction of the First Great Temple, the Second Great Temple and the events of the Holocaust. In this paper, I will discuss these three events and also explain and give examples as to why I feel that the Jewish people have always been discriminated against and not allowed the freedom of worship.
There are a number of reasons why someone who is not of Jewish descent might want to learn Hebrew. For Christians, learning Hebrew offers them the ability to read sections of the Bible in its original language. For Historians, it opens up a world of firsthand access to early Jewish literature. For those of Jewish descent, learning Hebrew is considered their connection to Israel and their key to learning from the primary sources. Anyone who has learned a language can tell you that things can often be lost in translation, and having the opportunity to read through the original text yourself can give you answers you missed when reading the translated text. If you're interested in learning Hebrew, here are some basics to keep in

Throughout the history of Judaism, Jewish people have faced ongoing persecution and discrimination. Despite these conflicts, the faith remains alive, strong, and continuously growing. Like many religions faced with adversity, Judaism has had to assimilate its faith to survive in an ever-changing world. One significant moment of change in the Jewish history, the fall of the Second Temple, had the opportunity to destroy Judaism, but the Jewish people bonded together and reformulated their religion in order to save their faith. The falling of the Second Temple marks a distinct change in the Jewish faith through the modification of ritual practices to accommodate their new mobile lifestyle. Throughout the history of the world, the Jewish people have been persecuted and oppressed because of their religious beliefs and faith. Many groups of people have made Jews their scapegoat. Jews have suffered from years of intolerance because people have not understood what the religion really means. They do not understand where and why the religion began, nor the customs of it's people. Within the Middle East, the largest population of the men and women are Muslim. The Muslim religion suggests that the women wear a veil or hijab, which is a headscarf that only exposes a woman’s eyes, accompanied by a burqa which is a full body cloak. The sole purpose of the clothing is to cover a woman’s feminine features from men’s eyes. The Qur’an, an Islamic scripture supports, and slightly obligates the uniform by saying that women are to be conservative, “Let them wear their head covering over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments.” (Qur’an). Muslim women, instead of feeling oppressed, view this as a positive aspect in their lives, influenced by their devotion to Allah. Their acceptance could be influenced by their
Judaism is the complex expression of a religious community, a way of life as well as a set of basic beliefs and values, which is separated in patterns of action, social order, and culture as well as in religious statements and concepts. The ideal is to remember God in everything one does, through prayer and keeping the commandments. There are many spiritual practices that the Jewish people follow as a reminder of their faith and as a way to engage all the senses in awareness of God. Some of these scared practices include: circumcision, Sabbath, eating kosher foods, and Bar Mitzvah. Of all of the commandments in Judaism, the brit milah, is probably the one most universally observed. It is commonly referred to as a bris. Even the most seculars of Jews, who observe no other part of Judaism, almost always observe these laws. Boys are ritually circumcised when they are eight days old, to honor the seal of God's commandment to Abraham. A person who is uncircumcised suffers the penalty of kareit, spiritual elimination. Sabbath is the most important ritual observance in Judaism. It is primarily a day of rest and spiritual enrichment. The Jewish Sabbath runs from sunset Friday night to sunset Saturday night. Observant Jewish families begin the Sabbath eve with a special Friday night dinner. The woman of the house lights candles to bring in
