College can be the hard if anybody makes it hard. College is just like a job everybody has to be on time. Everybody that leaves high school thinks college is going to be very easy. A person has to be prepared for college because it can be very hard at times. College can be one of the hardest thing in life. In college, students have to be on top of everything they do because if not it can go down the drain. College is way different than high school because nobody keeps up with your grades. It is very hard to keep up with your grades in college if you do not know what is going on. In college, everyone wants to be there but nobody wants to do any work. Most people would think they will come to college in get by with anything. I know for sure
You also expect to be able to accomplish your work quickly and with minimal stress, leaving more time to work and spend with your family. You expect to be able to do what you did in high school and still pass. However college, by far, is nowhere as easy as most anticipate. You have to study, unlike high school, where you could float on by with A's by seldomly attending class. College is harder than high school and therefore
College is like a steeping stone to becoming a responsible adult because for the first time most people are practically on their own. It is completely different from high school in that not only that school has to be dealt with, but you have to juggle your personal time and financial state as well. They go away to college and face circumstances that they would most likely come across when they finally do go on their own. Bills have to be paid, time has to be managed efficiently, and deadlines have to be met, just like in the "real world."
The actions that are made following High School are huge and they greatly impact the future of your life. We can attend college, enlist in the military, or go straight into the workforce. We have a plethora of options after High School. Attending college is more suitable for me than going straight into the workforce.
Deciding to go to college can be a hard choice. College is not meant for everyone but it can be very helpful when it comes to finding a good job. Although not all degrees can be helpful, a business degree allows good job opportunities. The University of New Mexico believes that “Business, Finance and Economic employment rates are the fastest growing in the nation and by majoring in one of these fields at UNM, you will surely have a successful future.” For those who are not made for college, it is possible to start a businesses from the ground up. Both of these choices have their pros and cons.
I am a hard working college students coming straight out of high school and this is all new to me. I love to learn about new things as much as I can. I also love to talk about sports and have debates on them. Which is why I am going to school to major in communications to become a Sports Broadcaster some day. I know that college will be challenging for me because of the lack of transportation, Access to a computer at home, and also having a lack of time management. First off, I have a little bit of transportation issues because I do not have my own car, which forces me to ride that bus on the days that my brother who attends Thomas nelson as well is not staying with me. Further more, Another issue I have
College is like riding a bike. If you're reading this for the first time as a freshman, you'd probably assume that the statement speaks of the journey of college as difficult in the beginning but surprisingly enjoyable by the end. If this is your assumption, congratulations: you are misguided. The statement "college is like riding a bike" actually lacks a few words. College is like riding a bike, except there are no handlebars, the bike is on fire, you're on fire and everything else is on fire because now you're in hell. Welcome to college by the way. Now let's get down to business.
College is pretty fun, easy, and does not compare to the amount of homework given in high school, so it’s not that stressful. However, that is only for the first couple weeks, before the first midterms. Once the midterms begins, the rest of the term is going to be really stressful, as there is not much of a break in between every midterm, unless you are one of the few who just naturally do really well on every exam by barely studying. Those are people who I “look” up to, I want to be like that one day, pass every exam by barely studying. Anyhow, due to the high amount of stress each of the exams create because of the fact that they are worth the majority of a student's grade, does not make it a fair comparison for many.
College is a big step in one's life, you are no longer bound to the regimented days of high school where a simple sound dictates when it's time to leave and arrive in class, when it's time to eat, and when it's time to go home. The high school bell holds a God like control over each student's life while they are in school, disregard the bell and one finds themselves in detention sitting in silence regretting not doing what the bell signaled them to do. College on the other hand is a completely different story, the only bell you have to follow is the one you ring for yourself. Each college student is responsible for getting themselves to class and staying the duration, there's no detention for cutting class. The downside is that you would be
I remember the first day I started college, and I was extremely fearful. I remember spending the whole day at the school not eating because I asked so many people about their experience in college and they told me how hard college is. Then, after my two years, I realized what they were saying is true; however, it is possible to have a good experience and be successful in college. It all depends on the students themselves, the strategies that they use, and their goal orientation
High school learning is where you are a passive learning who sits, listens to the teacher, at times write a paper, and take a test, which you are expected to simply say what you have learned or has been spoken by the teacher. On the other hand, in college learning, instead of your teachers being Mr. or Mrs., you now have to get used to say "Professor or Dr." In college, you will not be provided
Whereas before going to college and after going are different from each other. Before going to college High School course were demanded in order to graduate, now in college, you can choose your course and time that will be available for you to learn. Not to mention, before going to college you don't get as much freedom because of being in high school . but now you will have the ability to do whatever you want since your all grown up. For instance, being able to stay up late for parties. Also, before coming to college homework was very simple. Doing homework in college is a bit of a challenge because you have to be the focus of your time. While learning about college I learned that it cost money and it still brings me into more education.
I know that college will be difficult for me because studying at home, practice, and lack of organization. First of all, it hard to focus on myself because I get distracted at home. I would study for a few minutes, then lose track. I would watch television, wandering off to doing my chores. I enjoy the time with my family, my family is always supportive of what I do in life. Therefore, I have practice at church for praise dance, it takes all the time to do it. Practice makes perfect, I am going to do that by studying for a test or a quiz. Furthermore, l am the most creative but not organize person
I have seen that starting college holds many fears and challenges even throughout this exciting time. Starting college is kind of like starting a completely new high school, but on a much larger scale. Some fears I individually have about starting this exciting but petrifying expedition is mainly just being in a new place with tons of new people. I grew up and attended a little K-12 school in a little town where everyone knew everyone and who your parents were which wasn’t always a good thing. I also see countless challenges that I must face to be successful in my college journey. Such as learning how to submit assignments online, managing my time, and being prepared for a harder class load. As we develop into mature adults I consider that
There are things that stay the same through college, even though there are some differences. There will always be students that want to work and some that don’t. No matter what the age group is, everyone has a brain and makes their own decisions. Many will make the decision to study hard because they want to get somewhere in life but many will not even care about their grades. Just like in high school, many students don’t care about their grades or maybe they have no idea what it is they want to do but there are many students that do care about their grades and make a huge effort to make sure they are on top of their work by going to tutoring or making time to study by themselves. Also, no matter what doing class work and attending class is always important. Ever since
High school and college are completely two different steps in your life high school. While both sides are different in many ways, college life can be very difficult for some student while high school most of the students find it easy in many ways.
