Each and every school presents itself with new opportunities for their students; UHS presents some of the best opportunities in the country for music students such as myself. UHS provides their students with one of the best music programs available in California. This is one of the many reasons I long to attend UHS. As a violinist I want the best way to improve, along with honing my skills and University High School is the best place to do so. In addition the small classroom, as well as the low school population sparks my interest. I believe that the enclosed environment will provide enhanced collaboration between the professor, and student. This connection between mentor and pupil is critical to victory in high school, and large schools with
Early mornings, homework, tests, and grades can be exhausting and stressful, and makes school less enjoyable for a countless number of people. Completing high school is important. Instead of earning a high school diploma some people will get their GED. Earning a high school diploma is better than getting a GED because a diploma increases opportunities for employment, college acceptance, and deeper knowledge. Earning a high school diploma increases opportunities for employment.
A high school diploma is extremely important to my future for several reasons. I intend to go to college, and virtually all post-secondary institutions, colleges and universities require a high school diploma or GED to attend. I want to earn more income, and the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that a person with a high school diploma will earn almost $10,000 more per year. I want to have a challenging job, and a diploma will offer me more career opportunities as a degree shows employers a higher level of deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills. I hope to remain employed throughout my lifetime, and studies have shown that many employers will not even consider a candidate that does not possess a high school diploma. Increasing my education
School, a routine that I have to complete, every day, five days a week. Each one of those days I carry my bag, my purple and pink diamond patterned backpack to store everything from the most insignificant items like tissues and gum to the important ones like pencils and books. All these things I carry, help get me through high school and to reach one of my next goals of going to college. My folders, stuffed to the brim, shredded, ripped, that have papers falling out of all sides, hold all my important notes and assignments that need to be saved to study for finals. My extra daily contacts, located in the mid sized pocket of my bag, with prescription -3.50 and -4.25, that are ready to replace any that fall out, so I can read the board and store
When I was in middle school, I truly didn’t care for school. I just thought it was a mandatory part of the everyday adolescent child. I came to school each day dreading the fact that I have to sit for hours and listen to lectures that I thought to myself that I don’t need in the future. It was the beginning of the second semester in eighth grade, I was called in by my advisor. She told me that if I don’t improve my grades, I would have to repeat a grade, and I would have to wait two years until I enter high school. This unnerving fact stopped me in my tracks, and I remember the cold feeling that suddenly surged through my body. There was a possibility that I could fail and repeat a grade. And so I thought to myself, is this really how I want to continue my life? Is
I came back to school to get my high school diploma because I have an IEP diploma that isn’t worth anything, and I want to be something in life so that’s why I feel like a high school diploma is important to me. Having a high school diploma is important to me because I want my kids to know that their mommy is not a failure and that if I can do it so can they. It will help me in the future to find a higher paying job, and it will motivate me to better myself as a young lady. Having a high school diploma is worth having because a lot of places are not taking GED or IEP. So by me obtaining a high school diploma it will make me and my
The reason why I think it’s important to have a high school diploma in your future is because certain jobs that make the big money it’s a requirement for you to have a high school diploma. In this generation it all comes down to money, how much you making, how much you spend and if you don’t have a really good job because you didn’t get your high school diploma then you have to watch what you spend your money on. It is some jobs that you don’t need a high school diploma too work at like for example McDonalds but It a likely chance you’re going to be working there forever making a lot money. It’s also important to have it in the future because of your children why I say that because every parent wants to make their children life better than
Having an education is one of the best gifts someone can be given, and because of that I am grateful for the education my parents have provided me. With more jobs requiring a high school diploma or GED, the high school education I have received will help get me farther in life. However, having a high school diploma isn’t enough. Without a college degree, many doors will still be closed and opportunities will pass by. I'll never be able to advance in my chosen career. While the high costs of college are of great concern to me, I believe the future benefits will outweigh the disadvantage of cost.
In my lifetime, I hope to achieve many things. I want to leave my mark on the world and leave something behind to be remembered by. There are several steps to becoming successful in life and graduating high school is what I am trying to achieve currently. That being said, I want to leave the things I have learned in high school behind to those who may face the same challenges that I have during my own high school experience.
Why I want to graduate high school with a diploma? I would like to graduate high school with a diploma because I would like to get into the Army. I also would need it to get into college and/or get a better paying job. It would also increase my knowledge.
My education is extremely important to me because it is a chance for me to live a stable and pleasant life. It is also a chance for me to be a role model to my siblings/others, to be a person where another may look up to me, and have respect for me based on the decisions I have made. With my education, I personally want to help the communities around me, which is something I have not had the chance to do based on the unstable life I have lived. Ergo, my education is one of my long-term goals that I will strive to
I attend a relatively small, private, Catholic high school in northern New Jersey called Don Bosco Prep. I am involved in a variety of activities including sports, music, and various clubs and organizations. My school encouraged me to grow academically, socially, culturally, and spiritually. Our school motto is “empowering young men for life”. I feel that my school has given me the tools to be an engaged student. The school promotes a brotherhood which has benefitted me personally. Whether a friendship forged from a study group or one formed with a teammate, each friendship brings different experiences to my life for which I am grateful.
This would be a big achievement for me because I didn’t really finish high school. I dropped out of school in the 9th grade and ended up getting pregnant. Shortly after that I met my husband and got married at 19 and had been a mom and wife every since. Another reason getting my diploma is important is because I’ve seen my husband do it, even though he never finished, but I’ve seen how motivated it made him. That’s what I wanted for myself, to be motivated.
