A high school diploma is extremely important to my future for several reasons. I intend to go to college, and virtually all post-secondary institutions, colleges and universities require a high school diploma or GED to attend. I want to earn more income, and the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that a person with a high school diploma will earn almost $10,000 more per year. I want to have a challenging job, and a diploma will offer me more career opportunities as a degree shows employers a higher level of deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills. I hope to remain employed throughout my lifetime, and studies have shown that many employers will not even consider a candidate that does not possess a high school diploma. Increasing my education
A college degree is important for a variety of reasons for both the young and the old, namely to develop or improve one’s trade skills, to experience different cultures and to increase one’s educational background in order to attain a higher paying job. For me, a college degree is important because it will help me to attain the educational background I need to make myself more marketable in the ever changing workforce. It will also provide me with the confidence and skills needed to apply for a better paying job or aid me in attaining the ever elusive promotion, if I so desire.
On the first day of a new school year the popular thing to do is play an icebreaker name game. My teachers give the quick spiel of: name a (blank) that starts with the same letter as your name. As someone whose name starts with the letter E, I find myself struggling to find a quick example, whether it be an adjective, animal, color, food, etc. Excited? Eel? Electric blue? Eggplant? Everyone shares their name and word beginning with the same letter and the game soon ends. In my opinion, the icebreakers where you share your name and your favorite subject in school are much better. Of course, I still find it difficult to choose a favorite class; however, if the question were “which class do you find easiest” my answer would be instant. Which class

The reason why I think it’s important to have a high school diploma in your future is because certain jobs that make the big money it’s a requirement for you to have a high school diploma. In this generation it all comes down to money, how much you making, how much you spend and if you don’t have a really good job because you didn’t get your high school diploma then you have to watch what you spend your money on. It is some jobs that you don’t need a high school diploma too work at like for example McDonalds but It a likely chance you’re going to be working there forever making a lot money. I have been thinking about high school since was young. I thought it was so far away and now I am ready to graduate middle school and go to high school. This got me thinking about college. I realize that I need to find a high school that will help me succeed and reach my goal of going to college. I need a program that will help me find new things that will interest me. As an 8th grader getting ready to go into high school I was looking at applications and, I came across Lake View High School and I was intrigued. As I read on I was satisfied with what I read because I know that this program will help me succeed in high school and college. Knowing that, I really want to be a part of this school.
Everyone knows that in different places there are different learning habits. Not everyone learn at the same paste or the same subjects. In different states and countries students are to learn different subjects to graduate to get there high school diploma. Though my of years of high school I was done with just about all my basic classes that I need to graduate at the end of my junior year and only had like one or two classes to take on my senior year.. I don't find it a problem if the student should be eligible to graduate early, if that student have done everything they had to do to get their diploma I believe it is a good idea that they senior year should be the year to get ready for college and start there career or go to college. it will

I attend a relatively small, private, Catholic high school in northern New Jersey called Don Bosco Prep. I am involved in a variety of activities including sports, music, and various clubs and organizations. My school encouraged me to grow academically, socially, culturally, and spiritually. Our school motto is “empowering young men for life”. I feel that my school has given me the tools to be an engaged student. The school promotes a brotherhood which has benefitted me personally. Whether a friendship forged from a study group or one formed with a teammate, each friendship brings different experiences to my life for which I am grateful.
A high school diploma is no longer enough to ensure success in the globalized world we live in. Low skill jobs made available by a high school education are, as time goes by, more and more likely to be automated or sent overseas. Even college degrees sometimes fail to secure their holders a solid career. Technology keeps advancing, and as it pushes forward, many workers look to education to stay relevant. Thomas Friedman, New York Times journalist and author of “The World Is Flat”, says "...its not only what you know but how you learn that will set you apart. Because what you know today will be out of date sooner than you think" (309). Friedman acknowledges that in today’s ever-changing world, you must continually learn new things, and as
Once a student graduates from high school, entering college is a life changing experience. Performing community service projects would help a college-bound student develop the qualities that would enable them to better handle college life and beyond. High school graduates should be required to take a year off to pursue community service projects before entering college in order to increase their maturity, to enhance their social awareness, and understand global perspectives.
