How far would you go for someone you love? In William Shakespeare's, Romeo and Juliet the two play with fate. Essentially with the help of other characters, pushing limits. Coming from two different families who have a strong loath for one another, you can expect difficulties and tragedies. The real question is who is really to blame for the loss of Romeo and Juliet. Everyone plays a part, some bigger than others. You would think before committing such a terrible act, the immature 16 year old Romeo or the obedient 13 year old Juliet, would consult someone trustworthy. Although Heir and Lady Capulet is Juliet’s parents they are less to blame. What more would you expect from two adults who have already arranged her marriage, yet show little interest. In this play he symbolizes religion and peace, but like most aspects of this play something goes wrong. Not only did he secretly marry Romeo and Juliet to establish some civility throughout Verona, but he also devised the plan that sets their deaths in motion. He gave Juliet the sleeping potion. It didn’t get worse until he had discovered his message to Romeo about Juliet’s death being a fraud was not delivered. Again this sets everything in motion. Romeo came upon Juliet Breathless in her tomb dead-like. He swallowed the poison he purchased from The Apothecary, killing himself. Had he only waited a few more moments later. When all's said and done, I still wouldn't blame just one subject for the fate that was brought upon the characters. Everyone should have payed more attention considering they knew of the couples engagements.
